Everybody wants to gamble but nobody wants to lose. The point of rolling means you are taking a risk. If all the rolls were good, everyone would have to roll. As is, you don't have to. The only thing I think might work would be to increase the price of rolling, to offset more valuable items in each roll.
Forum > Goal Line Blitz > If you spent 120+ tokens on rolling AEQ and found absolutely nothing, at level 41...retire?

Do people actually roll anymore???? For 88 BT or 125 for a 5% you can have a +3 upgraded pieces. Honest to god who would risk not having what they exactly want anymore?

For most positions I would strongly suggest you shop for pieces. It's a lot cheaper even if you have to enhance an item. As someone else stated, level 41 and 51 are pretty good spots to shop.

I like that idea, say it costs 2x or 3x the normal 3 BT, do remove half the junk choices.

So does that mean you "settle" for certain equipment or you just need to make it yourself?

Isn't that a bitch, you have to waste months on a player and retire him because the game wouldn't give you the equipment you wanted. That is for sure how you keep people coming back right thurrrr.

I would assume make it yourself. You don't want to settle, good way to turn a good dot bad. At least that's what I do, look for +3 that fit my build plan or %5 that fit. I may take a %3 if I already have a couple %5 stacked to complete a triple stack.

...or if you don't want to GAMBLE, build it yourself. Nobody forced him to waste all his BTs.

I had a question regarding how many is too many. I have my QB who I, for some stupid reason, decided to roll for at level 28. I only planned to roll once, ended up getting on that gamblers high (hence why I don't gamble) trying just one more time and ended up spending about 70 BTs. Would I have to scrap that build at this point after wasting 70 BTs? Or would I be able to stick to a stricter guide line of usage from this point on (say shopping 3x max per 10 levels)?
Also, I just rolled once and ran across a +5% pass distance piece...I assume it's worth the purchase?

The +5% PD, yeah that's a great piece. I wouldn't say it's retire worthy, definitely hampered. Wait until you get to level 51 or 61 and shop again. You may make up for the lost BT. Wouldn't go crazy. Maybe roll 3 or 4 times at 51 and 3 or 4 times at 61.
Also, with that +5% PD piece you saved 56 BT over building. So you are really only down 14 BT from shopping.

Maybe not, but why add a stupid bonus token money pit like that? Sick sense of humor adding that.
