I mean, since the sim goes 100% by casual settings and doesn't call a single play in a critical situation that you don't want...

You can get specific with anything casual just as regular. Force starters, force 3rd down, force RZ, force 4th down, change energy settings, utliize the energy setting so if force on 3rd he won't appear on 1st, etc. It's not hard at all.

I'd speculate that I can call which dots will be on the field from my cas pro team *on any play* with 80% or better accuracy. As for my OAI, well I am not so confident.

What does having a specific dot on the field have to do with what play the sim calls?

The biggest issue I had as a owner of a regular team is finding OC's and DC's that are not only good, but will stick around for more than a season. All of the Great OC's and DC's already have several teams and don't have the time. At one point I would have suggested find a network to get with, but that doesn't help either. Too many teams, not enough OC's and DC's to go around that are worth it. You have some good ones out there but they are always bombarded with offers and requests the minute they post their ad.

Regular teams take an entire STAFF to get the job done. OC, Assistant OC, DC, Assistant DC, Scouts, CFO, Recruiters, and other's, especially the higher you go. There are VERY few who can do it alone and those that can tend to have A LOT of time on their hands due to the type of job they have or other reasons.

If you don't have the time or knowledge, Casual is the way to go.

It is the time not the knowledge that makes regular regular and casual casual

Time mainly yes, but there is a lot of knowledge that goes into regular teams that don't necessarily go with casual. You have a limited amount of things you can do with casual and an unlimited amount of things you can do with regular. Casual doesn't give you a whole lot of control on what plays are called on what down and distance. Regular you can have set plays that will be called for set downs and distances.

You can have all the time in the world but without the knowledge, the time you put in is useless. I used to DC for regular teams a long time ago. I gave it up about the time the DPC came out because I didn't understand how it worked. I DC now but only for casual.
