398,400 flex is enough to create 32 no/no teams (an entire league)

The leftover after creating the players would pay for all of those teams for nearly 4 seasons.

Which is a silly statement. There are many things in life where you can pay a high price up front for a long term use- Ever buy a car? Paying $1,775 is what it would cost to build an entire team of 55 players that you would then have for 12-13 seasons (depending when you retire) is ~684 days. Thats almost 2 years of play time. And when you get all through, you would get approximately 278,880 back at the end of those 2 years in which you could make much of an entire team for another 2 years.

While it is a high buy in price, most people aren't going to do this specific anyways. They're more likely going to make SOME players and join a team with other agents. Or buy a team and bring people to fill out the team. And the high buy in price gets you a lot of return on your investment if you stay and use up your flex.

If you spend over $100 on this game, you are sad.

I haven't bought flex in like 3 months. And the most flex i had was 6k lol, and i bought that all at different times. Highest pack i bought was $20... lmao. Rather spend my money on stuff that i can use in REAL LIFE.

For the price it costs to play 1 season as a booster I made 8 no/no's that will play for at least 5 seasons in RLU and ILOF.Easy choice for me since I'm not wealthy.

too much TBH.

If they made it more affordable (I know it's NGTH - not whining about it) to own an entire team, IMO there would be better competition and more quality teams.

Lol, the average user is definitely not buying into ownership of a full team. You can easily play GLB with minimal spending. GLB is flexible in that you can create and boost as many players as you'd like.

One person's disposable income and or spending preference may be completely different that anothers. And even if you spend $500 on GLB over a 5 year period, that's not all that unreasonable when viewed on a per month basis (that's like 8 bucks a month) and the amount of hours some people spend on this site.

In short

Boosting, a lot.
Just creating all the players, not so much, I think mine was around the 12K mark

From experience, its fun to play GLB as a booster and as a non-booster

Agree. At least to me, even playing PeeWee as a non-booster/no CEQ is fun with the goal being to beat teams complete with boosting/CEQ dots.

Yes, you could grab a PeeWee squad and as long as you had the sunk cost of the team, you could play with 10800 flexies each season (and none of that would be lost). Pretty solid if you wanted to play GLB from a low cost/high fun perspective.

This is true ... at least until you figure out you that have to create 55 dots, buy them free equipment, upgrade said equipment, and finally retire those 55 dots, every single god damn season. Or when you finally get to peewee gold playoffs, knowing you have no chance at winning a championship.

I'm ok with the pay to win aspect, GLB is a business after all. But the tedious mouse clicking, doing something that should be automated by now, is what killed the fun out of peewee for me.

I have been playing for however long, and over the course of that time I have now invested enough so that if I wanted to build my own 55 man roster I could, without ever buying more flex.

No, I would have never considered spending that much at once, but doing it over time wasn't bad for me.
