Thank you for proving my point

you are way off on this man, but if everyone that disagrees with you is somehow proving your point, then ok......

As someone else stated, it has been known for an extremely long time that if you are training to 99% you are taking a huge risk..... there is a reason people have always said to train to 90%+.

And I used the words "likely" and "could be" because I am not an official representative of this game, like people (in this case you) want to make out. Being a mod or a bugs mod in no way means we know all the intricate details of this game. We in no way get any type of inside information and are not privy to any info that every other user is not privy to....... sooooo when I say that this numbers have decimals, that is from what I know from being on this site and playing this game, NOT from some mysterious info that I got from a secret PF because I am a super mod or whatever.

Seriously, I hope and pray that Bort and Company never make this game so specific that it becomes an exact math equation that all users know and have to figure out.

Alright....enough is enough. I understand its a risk and it has been talked about for a long time.

What about NEW USERS who havent been around for a long time to know this. Why can't GLB put something on the training screen that explains this???? Its not explained in Wiki or anywhere else.

I've looked through quite a lot of Bort's code regarding training and I would say that this is not the case. Bort likes to round things a lot, both the display and the actual number - training values, ALGs, you name it.

I posted the reason for not training to 99% earlier in the thread - it is completely different to this, and wasn't documented anywhere until several people gathered a lot of training data in spreadsheets which lead to my question in Q&A #12 being confirmed by Bort.

How about putting this phrasing on the training screen?

"Percentage gains given below are approximate and will vary a little every time you train."

Here, I just bolded "approximate" to make it stand out more.

Would that satisfy you, whodey08?

Actually, "approximate" is bolded on the training screen as well.

Honestly, it is pretty hard to argue with what it already has.

Spend Training Points
Spend this player's training points on training programs by choosing the options you would like below. Training an attribute will cost 2 training points and gain bonus tokens.

You will gain 2 training points per day automatically during the season. Percentage gains given below are approximate and will vary a little every time you train. There is even a small chance of reaching a training breakthrough and gaining a large extra percentage.

For more info, please check out the Training FAQ.

What's funny ... is someone else was asking for a mentor program because "no one pays attention to the tutorials on the player creation page".

QUICK! write a greasemonkey that auto-bolds the word "approximate".

I made my suggestion. I am done debating. Just feel really bad for new people trying to figure this game out.

That's the joke. I got that from the training screen, and I was gonna wait and see if he said that would be good enough... at which point I'd spring the trap.

Does Greasemonkey use BASIC? I could code it in BASIC...

I can also code you a one-on-one basketball game in BASIC if you're interested.

Can I shatter the backboard on a dunk and will a janitor come out to sweep up the broken glass?
