Why would you post this when it is blatantly wrong? You can't make a player during the season because no team will sign you, thus the player is useless.

I hope you don't honestly think your statement is valid.

It is valid, you CAN make a player during the season, you CAN sign with teams, I made a rushing QB on Day 30, but him on a pee wee team, and won the rushing yards award.

You are the one who is invalid, you can make a competitive player during the season, he won't be as good as players made a couple day earlier, but it can be done.

It's guys like you telling the newbs they have to build a certain way, that is fucking the game up.

Let's face what the real problem is, and I don't think it will ever be reconcilable.

The problem is this game is geared for the hard core gamer who is going to spend time and money to figure out all the ways to beat/cheat the system instead of the casual gamer who comes on here for the football aspects of the game.

very few people have the time or desire to try to figure out and keep up with all of the changes in the player building that it takes to create a solid dot and most of those people that are, are already playing or have gotten bored/pissed off and left.

The only way to make this game have mass appeal and keep large numbers of new agents who stay and play is to dumb down the player building, by losing things like the ALGs and training issues. I mean there is a reason why there is a best time and way to build a dot.

If you do that, then you anger the hard core (and probably paying for the most part) gamers.

That's why you either have an easy mass appeal game, or you keep it as is, and forever have a limited clientele niche game and shut up about why there isn't more people playing it.

I have an idea

Make the player creation and build system constructed in such a way that a "retire IMO" build is not even possible to make.

Make your base in each archtype a dot that will be serviceable in that archtype, and have the player add ons be things that augment the dot in various details to make it even better, and that no matter how you hang them on the dot will be good at SOMETHING and worth keeping.

Make your Pro Football Dot build system always make pro football dots.

Like duh, obviously.

But no we won't do that, because - I dunno we are stupid? We hate the customer? We do not like being in business???

You can not make a player during the season that will be useful in the long term. You know this. Please stop embarrassing yourself and giving out bad information in the forums.

Make an option for faster/easier player development. Maybe even an option to buy a cookie cutter build just to get the noobs feet wet.

Bort already stated he made the game for the hardcore gamer, and he is going to try and work towards the casual gamers needs. The problem is making a viable player anytime you want, as I said before you can make a player at any point, and the player will be good, let me make it clear, the player will be good for a season or two, so no one assumes I mean the length of the players career Bort has too come up with a way, that an agent can make a dot at anytime during the season, and still be competitive with dots made earlier in the season, like when you make a dot day 20, you should get the same SP and TP as you would have if you created the dot Day 40-48 the prior season. so that newly created dot is at the exact time the rest of the dots made that season are.

Maybe have an "autobuild" option.

Not putting words into your mouth. You just look foolish making statements that a competitive player can be made during the season which is not true.

I just noticed you play in Casual which probably explains your lack of knowledge of how to build a competitive player.
