The real counterpoint is that not every player on the roster plays, like in glb so NFL replacements are irrelevant

So we are simulating some pretend thing that doesnt exist

So the need for chemistry is based upon what then?

Fixed Your Post

As a Philadelphia area fan, you have no idea.

It has nothing to do with chemistry.

It has to do with the coaching, and the ownership and budget spending that brings in B players and washed up A players and hypes them as star signings because they get over paid - but still less than an A player would make. Meanwhile true young talent walks out the door at free agency because the Eagles won't spend more to keep em.

Donovan was good enough to cover up the flaws in this money driven system. In his contract year, so was Vick.

But underneath the nonsense, its the same crap we have been putting up with for decades.

Thats where I disagree. The majority of networks out there are run by morons.

You win more by avoiding the 2% handicap to begin with. Thats what I am trying to tell you. Start at Rookie. Limit turnover by building a team with agents who are with you for the long term. You set up the team before you even buy it. You then sign agents during the grace period.

Yeah I am doing that now. Hopefully it will work out better than the last time when I couldnt get enough agents and the ones I got did not boost consistently in the long run or quit out right. Got one ONE player from that batch up to National Pro, besides my own.

But the point remains that most teams are not networks and are not ground up rookie to pros teams.

And the game needs to be about those people too.

Because if you frack most of your players, they frak you by leaving and then you are out of work.

Chemistry is

1) Not based upon reality.

2) Serves no other purpose in effect than to frustrate the majority of players

3) Is poorly designed and over powered.

I can see why you all love it so.

I have to agree, It does seem a little whack to lose a couple of guys to Retirement, upgrade a few Positions, Lose a few guys to some "Gang", oops..I mean Network, (because if you don't work with them, You'll never get any good Dots as a Common Joe GM / Coach) and then your back down to 55ish Chemistry and starting the Season around 65ish is a bit of a stretch to me.

-1 Chemistry is fine as it is. To gimp it in this manner, you might as well just remove it from the game since it means no one, short of someone completely changing their roster, would see any effect from it. Leave it alone, it works fine, it is not the reason most teams run into problems.

Well I am all for removing it from the game. Would be better not as a stick but a carrot rewarding key long term players in certain situations ever so slightly instead via VAs or the like. Maybe if the QB and receiver have been together X seasons the QB could have a VA that increases his chance of seeing the WR open more quickly or just adds to pass quality abit (.1% per).

But as to the OP meaning there is no penalty, it is a penalty that is HUGE for three games even with the change.

You really screwed up the quote there, since i never said that. Yello did. Bad enough people trying to misquote my post, please don't attribute his incorrect statement to me. Thanks
