At the heart of any on-side kick should be the kick - if that is a good kick then apply the checks to see if it is recoverable. Most on-side kicks aren't recoverable because the kick is bad.

but seriously for this suggestion, i dont think its a good idea anytime soon until STs is working properly. blockers need to follow their assignments, people need to stay in their lanes, returners need to actually run to holes not people etc etc.
once STs is fixed, additions can be added.
Agree with this, but still would like on side kicks added as an enhancement. Let's hope during the offseason the make a lot of fixes so they can start thinking of doing some more of these cool things.
Thing is, the on side kick is an integral part of football, not chrome. Should really be added sooner than later.

the thing you continually keep forgetting is this is not real football. this is a game of Dots bumping into one another no matter how much you want this game to be exactly like the real sport it isn't going to happen.
with that said I like the idea of adding somethings to the game. but the way the sim is now and what I figure will be another pre-season full of big changes coming. adding even more stuff like this suggestion to the game is just something that would push a few agents over the edge and essentially would hurt the game more than help it at this time. If all the other problems were fixed then I could see attempting to add some stuff like this to the game. but until the game is fixed stuff like this isn't needed or wanted IMO.

First off why fix something you are going to replace or change again with future feature additions? Spending six months debugging your program and then replacing half of it is illogical. So bugs before features is not always the best most efficient path.
Secondly whether Bort has programmers who are skilled in different tasks and that is why he debugs and adds features simultaneously or because he is doing it himself and he needs a distraction from debugging, the GLB way is to add and fix in parrallel.
Thirdly you keep forgetting that the fact that GLB is merely football flavored is no reason to not get the flavor right.

I am forgetting nothing I just want a sim that what I tell the dots to do in the AI actually works. I could care less about the chrome and all the other BS you keep suggesting we get. I mean seriously if I wanted all the chrome I would be playing madden instead of GLB. you think just because you want something for the game that everyone else should as well. sometimes that isn't the case sometimes a few of us just want a sim that actually works without a ton of crappy bugs and fluke plays happening. good luck in getting your multitudes of suggestions implemented hopefully someday you can get a game that needs no more chrome.
