That's a disclaimer to prevent lawsuits and nothing more.

That said, it's an American football simulation, which is largely the NFL but also would include NCAA football, maybe even high school.

Outside of Speed, I'd be against narrowing the range of outcomes from attributes. I also wouldn't want to go too far with Speed, as it's too late in development for that. Bort has said that he isn't even fast but can run faster than a GLB player with 30 Speed-- so why not make 10 Speed "how fast Bort can run" with 120 the same as it is, extrapolating and interpolating? We'd see a greater variety of builds with some guys going with less Speed as it wouldn't be fatal.

That won't happen either anyway, but it's the only part of Yello's suggestions ITT that appeals to me at all.

I thought the GLB userbase supported "no suggestion left behind".

everyone plays this game. It's hard to get all leagues to have amazing parity. It's just almost impossible without some kind of human oversight.

People who want to compare this to the NFL, think of it like this:

1) In the NFL there's a significant motivating factor that is not present here: money. NFL teams are a business, period.

For Coordinators:
In GLB, the best coordinators, owners, and players could all come together and play for the same team, because they have a motivation to win. GLB doesn't allow for you to pay coordinators etc (as well they shouldn't). So there's no real drive to stop coordinating on one team and go to another. Yes, you might have a few people that say "hey come OC / DC for my WL team and it will be a bit more fame for you", but those are few and far between, because you tended to make it to WL by having a good set of coordinators etc

In the NFL, a good defensive coordinator (for example) is sought after by teams that are willing to pay him more. Or bump him to Head Coach (more fame). Thus the person has a strong incentive to move (money and fame).

For Players:
In GLB, player cash is not really all that important. Yes the CFO can use it to boost moral, and that adds some tactics, but it's not like in real life where an agent is deciding him team based very largely on who is paying more.

In the NFL, if you pay more, you get the player (usually). Thus you'll probably go to whoever pays you most. The salary cap actually means something, because teams cannot afford to load up on amazing talent.

2) Time constraints for coordinating is completely different in NFL vs GLB. How many coordinators in real life do you see that run the offense / defense / special teams for more than 1 team?

If you really want parity, sit around with a group of friends and roll a 20 sided dice with each person assigned to either odd or even and then you'll have a truly random system that you can deal with.

Chysil is right, you have to have a way to motivate Agents, Coordinators, and Owners to have true parity.

1.) Agents, if their dot doesn't meet certain requirements within their first two seasons and every two seasons after. If they are not met the Agent loses that player and all flex involved. This should motivate agents to learn how to actually build players worth a damn and not scrubs that ruin leagues.

2.) Coordinators If they don't meet certain requirements, then doesn't stay competitive in following seasons, they get fired and are not allowed to coordinate for any other team for the following two seasons. This will be motivation to actually not only improve as coordinator but make sure agents improve players and teams improve rosters.

3.) Finally Owners, this can be as simple as two losing seasons and you lose your team and can not buy another team for 20 days, a second team lost by an owner would end any chance for that agent to own another team. Oh so you are actually making people be held accountable for their actions and this will help do it.

Yours isn't exactly wowing me either.

Horrendous? Grammarwise? Surely an idea for possible fixes couldn't be THAT bad?
