That's how it is for me. I wish Casual became "Classic" and had AIs without the custom slots and DPC.

Here's the thing. This is an "open playing field" that many people enjoy. HOWEVER, not everyone here can spend HOURS here every day. Some slip in late at night (like me) after their real life is taken care of. Some sneak in during work. Some can spend 10 to 20 hours a day here. There are aspects of this game that, if done right, DO take a decent amount of time to complete (like scouting, setting up AI's and playbooks). I can say if it was a game every day I wouldn't be here. I've already dropped many other games simply because they swallowed up WAY too much of my time every day.
That said, it isn't fair to punish many for the enjoyment of a few. I gotta give this thumb's down. -1

You mean if they combined casual with a league that sole ran the premade AI's, I would be down for that

On a side note what if they had a computer owned league in which the DC was set automatically and the tactics were all the same. You can accept a contract for your player and then see your player in a game everyday. For those who are the really casual player you would be able to just watch your players play and get stats. The computer would fill all its spots and have settings to make sure X amount of SP has been assigned to at least show that the player is being built and if a certain period of inactivity came about the CPU would drop said player and sign another.

Lots of details to work out here but just a thought.

Just gave me an idea....

When creating a player, have the option for create a "casual" player. Completely separate leagues available to said casual player, such as automatically set O and D tactics. Players 1-2 meaningful (regular season) games per day, based on customer vote. Player life is accelerated linearly. 2 games a day would be experience of: 50 (1/2 day), 500 (game), another 50 (other 1/2), another 500 (other game).

Would greatly speed the process for new players to learn build mistakes, increase stats for stat-heads, etc.

And since the "casual" player is selected upon player creation, there is never any league cross-over, thus the "player age" is not an issue. Just drastically reduced player life, due to much increased speed.

Edit: All else stays the same, only the speed is either doubled or quadrupled, again depending upon voting.

It would really allow new players to help get a feel for the game or let a seasoned vet with no time on their hands but yet wants to still play the game be able to enjoy this fully.

but a free daily scrim on off days would make more sense

Wouldn't this mess up league ages. Does one day equal 2 days in this, because if not GLB would have to alter the league structure yet again. Doubt this would be acceptable, novel idea though.

Maybe have one free scrim on off-days, I think this is a decent compromise.

Hmmm, I think I'd agree

Every three days would be much better for me. I can see how the casual agent could get bored with the every other day format, but there is so much more you can do here to pass your time. Casual leagues are for just that, try buying a peewee or rookie regular team and start coordinating for real. If you have any type of life away from the computer the time goes way too fast.

Really, the OP needs to play regular rather than casual, and then he'll find plenty of uses for the day between games.

You get 2 free scrims...so that leaves 18 other days.

Thats only 450 flex. If you split that between 9 agents on team its another $.50 to play one scrim each day. I dont see it being a huge deal to add extra free scrims.

For people that set team-wide tactics, you have a very good point. But what about people like myself, who only play the game to build a player and see how he performs? The extent of my/our work is just training and allocating points when necessary. If there was a separate league for people that only wanted to build players, and not worry about OC/DCing, then it would make sense to greatly speed up that league for less wait between allocation and checking stats.

The problem is that would take dots away from the main game. Which would make it tougher to find FAs et c.

With tourneys and scrims, you can play everyday.

As a OC, I say "HELLLLLLLLLLL NO!!!"
