just in case anyone wants to get thread back on topic.

-1 because people can do stuff like this.

As should be their choice, it is their thread.

Easily fixed by only allowing you to delete your post and your thread if it is empty-if this is deemed a problem.

Mostly I see this as being a great deal of the reason for it.

Lets say you start a thread "I dominate everyone in this league" everyone responds as one would expect if you think logically and trolls you... you should be able to delete the thread and eliminate the grounds for which to be trolled... forcing me to leave it around when I started it makes little sense to me.

I've used forums that went each and every way with this, but never once have I used a forum that allows post editing forever (I've seen some that let you edit just after you post for x amount of minutes but none for forever) that don't also let you delete your own threads/post.

I'm speaking more along the lines of a thread that has good intentions initially, so people spend a lot of time on it, just to see it dissappear. I've had this happen to me in my team forums and it pisses me off to no end.

I'm not sure how this thread got so derailed but here are my two multis from when I first signed up. Hey, eveyone was doin' it...

basically an "edit undo" button. I'd be ok with that i suppose.

The current system seems fine imo...but this is ok too.

-1 to OP this is a stupid Idea if you want a thread deleted then ask a Mod. this idea has childish BS written all over it and would do nothing but cause a crap load of BS in the forums.

Elaborate please.

I see you saying that, I just don't see how it is possibly creating any new ability for someone to do as you say.
I have a feeling anything you try to come up with is already possible in the existing system, and thus can't be used as a reason not to implement something that I feel would be beneficial to my general foruming.

Maybe I'm a perfectionist but if I make a mistake I'd rather not let everyone else know, and that is why there is an edit option to my understanding, my question is why can I erase everything I've ever said from existence but not delete it.

You propose this would cause childish BS and I challenge you to provide one specific example that is not already completely possible with the edit function alone.

And I already stated I think its silly that moderators are forced to waste their time deleting these post, when it could just as easily be done by me without me making a fool of myself publicly.

On top of that the fact that moderators can already do it for you doesn't make it not a valid suggestion to allow us to do it ourselves.

well lets see first thing that comes to mind for example.

I start a thread trashing you calling you a bunch of names and general stuff that could get me a ban. then after a minute or 2 I delete it. but someone actually saw the thread and reported it but when the Mods come in to read the thread it isn't there. so at that point there would be a bunch of childish arguing and added headaches for the Mods. that is just a quick example of one scenerio that could arise.

It is possible for a new person to play the game too.

I'm not this person. End of story.

Yeah but a new guy, wouldn't know how to react to old guys, and would be acting like you are

Hence why the OP has in it on multiple occasions I believe that these post should still be kept admin-viewable, just not viewable to the public.

Onward I'll state that could I not do the EXACT same thing with the edit function and only a blank space be left over?

Huh?

Please elaborate how a NEW loophole is created, and try to make this one not already directly addressed?

Another issue with this is if an agent makes a long post in a thread and then the creator just deletes it effectively wasting the time of the agent who decided to spend time posting in their thread

Somehow it makes me a multi because I spent 2 minutes on the FAQ page to figure out what boosting was before I did it?

You sir are silly.

I joined this game because it looked cool, sitting there making dots not so much... but coaching them around sounded like a blast.

All of the stuff you just reposted was either addressed in the OP or since then, so I'll just challenge you to read, I know its hard for you.
