Now on to the suggestion:

I appreciate you enthusiasm, but this idea would lead to a lot of naughtiness and no way to counter said naughtiness.

Im on your side. You should be able to make a rushing QB work in casual and you should be able to have your elusive go outside and your power go up the gut. Its fucking retarded. Casual is casual and thats all people ever say. Anytime someone tries to suggest something for casual it gets shot down instantly. If you look at few people who even responded, some of them dont even have vested interests in casual IE: players or teams, but yet still have the urge to come shoot down an idea.

It's suggestions, and people feel the need to have their say, regardless of whether it affects them. It's just the way it is

The problem is this is one of the worst additions to casual.

If you allow custom slots on offense you have to allow tagging and DAI to stop them. Dub's idea of sorta casual is at least a better option.

Maybe someone could clarify for me then since we just moved back to casual and the last time I was here was in season 2 when it was just the norm, but I know you can tag the players on the roster for rushing and such so does this actually not do anything in casual then or is it for something else. Im not a glb wiz and even though Ive been here a long time, I just play for fun and have never been too involved.

Yeah you can tag in casual...but it doesn't effect anything since casual doesn't have access to the DAI.

Now it makes a more sense to me. I just assumed it still worked.

With that being said why cant it work for casual?

I don't understand why it is a bad idea to be able to involve all types of archtypes in a team concept in casual???? If you have a powerback and do not want him running counters and sweeps you should be able to set him to 100% inside running. There will still be 2 DTs 1MLB 2OLBs 2CBs and 2 safeties or some combination of that based on set D. Their job is still to stop the ball carrier no matter where the ball goes, outside or inside;powerback, scatback, comboback, elusiveback it doesn't matter to defensive dots. As a D coordinator you do not know what the play is going to be anyway, so it is irrelevant where the ball goes and who runs it there, because you are only setting up %s in your tactics page. Please anyone who opposes being able to use the dots on your team however you want explain to me how this is going to be exploitable, are D tackles going to say I'm not going to tackle him because he's a powerback set to inside run only. I think not!

Make it a slide bar then. That way you wouldn't have to actually type in the percentage. Would that make it "more casual"?
