Man feel the Irish hate in the air!

I can see a .500 bowl with the 'Huskers and Irish.

I like the Pelini hire, should have got him last time, should see a bit of return to prominence.

If other teams could pick and chose their own schedules instead of having to play conference games, maybe they could rack up 11 national titles too... Almost as despicable as the Yankees buying 26... But thats just me...

and the Irish will lose that Bowl Game as well...

How long has it been since Notre Dame has won a Bowl Game?

I'm a Kansas Jayhawks fan. I'm just hoping they can do half as well as they did last year in football. That was surprising even to me. It has been a good year to be a Jayhawk.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!

Man I'm just joking around..every time I say something it seems peopel get more angry at the ND stuff. I know they suck and they won't be much better this year and haven't won a bowl in a million tries, they actually get blown out. I have no room to make fun on any one else's team when mine sucks so bad.

Shepp there is something to the making their own schedule argument. They have benefited from it especially when they were winning and the championship rules were differnt. Let's face the fact they haven't really been relevant since the late 80's and early 90's. Back then everyone played all the weak sisters they could, ND still played some pretty good teams though but William & Mary wasn't one of them; no matter what Lou said. Their schedule now is about half and half. USC, UCLA, Michigan, Michigan St...all tough games, Army, Navy, Air Force, Purdue...hurt them (especially when they beat your ass ) Unless you are in the SEC you have the same deal, all conferences have weak teams and strong teams it's not like ND lines there schedule with all studs or duds. It will continue to hurt them when teams get an extra boost for playing in the conference championships (which I think is a major issue in CFB, either everyone has them or no one does) Personally I would want them to get into a conference and screw the tradition. Try to keep USC and/or Michigan (maybe rotate every 2 years with home and home deals) as a non-conference deal and maybe open with a service academy if you want to keep some of the tradition. The only way ND will ever truly be a contender for the National Title is to get into a conference.

Didn't really mean to touch a nerve there, bolo. Just a fans observation. I don't look down on a person for being a fan of a football team, unless its Ohio State... And then it's only to say the person has bad taste, no class, or both... (I'm KIDDING wollf...) But really, most of the stuff I say is to strike a nerve and have a fun little football talk. I wish people hated Michigan more, then I could be on the defensive on occasion. ND gets vitriol from ALL directions... How many times have they turned down the Big Ten invite in favor of "tradition"?

I've noticed my comments amuse you Raider... It's great to have my genius recognized... lol

EDIT: I just noticed the subtle jab there bolo... no room to make fun of other teams when mine sucks so bad... OUCH...

I'm with you Shepp, you didn't really touch any nerves I just don't want to be the typical Irish homer that can't accept the fact that his teams blows And it felt like that was the feeling people were getting, everything I said so far about ND was in jest because they aren't very good.

I like being on the defensive (read: arguing) as much as the next guy! No problem with a little ball-busting here and there! It's all good

Didn't realize I made a subtle jab? I'll show my ineptness and ask what you were referring to?

If there is one guy I would want to coach Michigan less than Rich Rodriguez, it would be Bob Stoops. He's the conceited jock, the offish buffoon, and the guy who's always on the outside of an inside joke, all wrapped into one sleeze ball...

You could have made it eaiser and put it right in front of me I thought you were saying that not quoting me...forgive my limited mental capacity. LOL

I wasn't thinking of that being a jab of any sort but I see what you were getting at now. I really meant ND really does suck so I won't bad mouth others. Like I wouldn't talk about how Michigan doesn't have a QB to run R-Rod's system and will suffer this year for it when my team doesn't have an o-line!
