No, a team or franchise is considered to be a single franchise owned by a single owner or related owner. Since TIA and Chicago are different teams, they can't cross count. Also, since I don't consider Biodome and Gerr to be related owners, old TIA and new TIA have to be separate. I also say that this list is only open to 1 team per owner, so that's that. Now, the real question is with the gold win, does new TIA alone have a better case than the Bears?

Chicago 85' Bears- Titles (6 Major): 1 Official Tourney Title, 2 Addicts Tourney Titles, 1 FTW Title, 2 AAT Titles (counting this season), 386 wins
New TIA- Titles (5 Major, 1 Minor): 1 Gold Title, 2 Official Tourney Titles, 2 Silver Tourney Titles, 1 Copper Tourney Title, 210 wins (18-23)

Now, with the argument about gold titles being the most important, I think TIA does have a better case than Chicago. Also, out of all the teams not on the list with 1 gold title, TIA's 6 titles are certainly the most. However, I don't think they have a better case because this list values continued gold success, with TIA doesn't have.

I knew the new DPC would piss you off.. because I thought you always had the best Dline positioning of any DC. I think it was a big part of your success since you could build a stout Dline and shut down the run with positioning...

only reason I'm coming back is to figure out builds on the new system, not sure what I'm going to do on D - but Dony and me will share the responsibilities next season...

forgot to mention.. S19, S20 best DC was RK... Gerr has always been good, but I think he's the best for the current sim. S19 still bothers me a bit because I didn't adjust correctly to the sim in the playoffs... I was stuck in the past and worried about slants and didn't make the changes to stop the WR screen in Singleback and FB screen weak in Strong. I had way too complicated of an AI and ran too many defenses....

LOL, never considered that TIA's brief history in Gold under my ownership would in any qualify them as one of the best in Gold. Though I have won some nice tourneys and now a gold title, TIA, like many of the other gold winners, has not shown any longevity in Gold. For that reason, I would consider my Bears to be a superior team compared to them, even without a title. And I would count the Silver tourney titles as minor ones, not major, since Gold teams can't join them.

As for the DC discussion, it's hard to say how anyone who has been away from the game would handle the recent changes, Dead.Ed included. He might struggle, or might come up with a killer system, who knows. His history would suggest that he at least would make a good defensive system since most good DC's are able adapt.

And lastly, has anyone heard any more news on the non-custom defense they were talking about putting in, one where there are a ton of user submitted defenses and you would have to choose from them?

If we are talking about individual seasons, those teams would probably each be in the top 5 probably like this:

1. Season 9 SBWL (46-0)
2. Season 8 loldots (43-1)
3. Season 15 SBWL (55-2)
4. Season 20 Maine Grenadiers (43-9)- this is misleading because 6 of the losses were private scrims to the Philosophers and 1 was in preseason to PNP; their only real losses were to FG in gold regular season and SBWL in the AAT final
5. Season 7 loldots (30-0)

However, they only played 2 seasons and weren't around in the gold era, so their league titles don't mean that much. They certainly can't be in the top 5, but they might get consideration for the top 10 and would probably make the top 20.

Seems like it was discussed back around S15 that an Undefeated Season in Gold is pretty damn high on the list of difficult things to accomplish that said. Best Individual Seasons IMO

1) S15 SBWL - Undefeated regular season and Won the Gold Championship
2) S18 FG - Undefeated regular season and Won the Gold Championship

So my question is where does Dirty Inc set in the PeeWee Legacy of great seasons? S18 Undefeated Gold Western Conference with a loss in the Championship Game to FG. That game IMO had a lot of hype. But can Dirty not winning a Gold Championship ever be ranked as high as a team that for example went 10 - 6 but wins GCG? I dunno

Even more reason to bring the ladder ranking system in place and it carry over season after season

Frankly a lot of people don't care til playoffs..... It's the ONLY thing that matters.....

You do know who was the head coach of Chicago at that time I screwed that game up, I haven't admitted it until now, but it was entirely my fault they lost. I had silly AI mistakes and picked all the wrong plays. Just another example of how you always beat me.

I was surprised we won that game honestly. I wasn't spending much time on the Goats then since I was with Tombstone in Gold.. Gruppo was handling the O and I threw a D together for him when his DC had real life issues in the preseason. Tweaked it here and there, but didn't spend the time on it like I did with Tombstone.

We had a ton of below average builds too. Mobsters were the better team I'm sure if you stacked them up side by side.

One thing I do remember well, is the number of QB sneaks they tried. I only had a MLB in the middle of the field on QB rusher Ds... they never missed a tackle though or that would have been the game.

You ended that streak in Week 1 this season I had to learn the new sim quickly after that game. Alot has changed since S19.

Day 3 or so of Season 15 Lunch Box vs. Chicago Mobsters in tourney play was the first win outside of Silver I was really excited about for my team. Prolly had more to do with that silly AI tho now that you bring it up. Way to hurt my inner child =/ .
