Thanks for putting this together Sabres. The Omaha Dogs have made some adjustments since the Week 1 loss so hopefully we're making a push towards the top. A lot of season left to play though so we'll see what happens.

You guys are looking scarey. That loss to Houston may have been a fluke.

Not taking anything away from Houston (they're freaking amazing this year. Amazing turn-around)

wait till you play us at the end of the season. That will be scarry

The score will atleast.

Seriously, Your team can't take us. Just knock it down as a loss and go back to the drawing board, coach. Your chemistry is extremely low and we beat you in level. I could go 90/10 pass/run and still beat your team. I feel sorry for your players that will never see a championship. Ever.

All right, after looking over your team, you proabably will beat us, but rip on my team all you want, but i've done much more work to this team then you've done to yours.

I took over this team in the offseason when our highest level player was a level 13 qb and an inactive level 14 fs. Everyone else was level 11 or lower. It was completely gutted by the previous owner. I built this team from scratch in one offseason.

It was on a 16 game losing streak when i took it over and it was coming off a 1-15 season.

Say what you want about my team, but i do take pride in it, especially after winning two games in a row even with my chemistry under 20. I don't care if I had to do it against the two worst teams in the league, because my team was far worse then either of those teams when I took it over.

I already doubled this teams win total from last season, and I truly believe we can maybe win 3 more possibly before the season is over. Yeah, that won't amount to much of a record, but It takes time to rebuild a team.

Also, I got a little carried away over the excitement of having a team like yours on my schedule. I think you learn the most about this game when you play against the best competition. I consider myself lucky to have the only team with Akron, Alpine, and the sea wolves on our schedule.

I took over this team when the highest player on it was a Lvl 3. What's your point?

Me and shield basically built this team from the ground up by ourselves. I have no pity for owners of gutted teams other than the team that keeps getting beat 250-0 in the Goal Line Blitz General forums...

Yeah, you've also owned your team longer then me u dumbass. This is my first season moron. Nice to know how bad ass you are, now go and get laid

You had a whole off-season to put your team together. Me and shield's Season 2 Seawolves STILL would've beaten your sorry asses.

Also, Sure I'll get laid, with yo mammy.

Necrophilia is illegal in most places, so I hear.

FWIW, I'll add my two cents to this. I don't think anyone doubts the work involved to build a team up to being respectable just like you're doing. Most owners here have built their teams from the ground up. We are BBB after all. Most of us also understand that we have 1 season on your team so we should be ahead in some areas.

What baffles me is that you complain in some posts that you've had less than 1 season to build your team up, but then you counter it by talking smack about how you're going to beat a team that is one of the better ones in the league. Which is it, your team is either a work in process or the greatest team of all-time? No, you can't be both.

Western Conference Week 4 Rankings

1) Anchorage Seawolves: 4-0
Last Game: 27-10 win over Houston

Pros: They held Houston to only 3 yards rushing. They only rushed 8 times but that’s a testament to Anchorages front line. AJ Clutch completed over 75% of his passes, and the defense forced 3 turnovers. Offensive Tackle Tyler Pop led the way with 10 pancakes. Defensively CB Footz Baller had a HUGE game. 7 Tackles, 8 Pass Deflections, 1 Fumble Recovery and an INT that he returned for a TD

Cons: They fumbled 4 times including 2 from HB Jon Jones (who also scored 3 TDs). Thankfully for them Houston only fell on 1. Their FG kicker also had a real bad game going 0/2 and missing an XP. Look at Anchorages next 3 games, and this is the time for them to really show us what they are made of.

Next Game: at Rocky Mountain Rampage

2) Reno 911: 4-0
Last Game: 51-6 win over Ambridge

Pros: I know I’ve anointed Anchorage as ‘possibly the best in BBB 14’ but Reno really is making me think that they could steal that title from the Seawolves. As far as this game goes, they went up against the hapless Brigade and crushed them. 592 total yards, including 27/33 for 340 yards day from QB Rip VanWinkle. The guy also threw for 5 TD passes. WRs Melodious Jones and Rufus Washington caught 2 each.

Cons: Not much bad comes out of a game vs Ambridge. They did fumble once but they recovered so it wasn’t a big deal. Furburgers next week will be more of a challenge

Next Game: vs Corvallis Furburgers

3) San Diego Marauders: 4-0
Last Game: 33-13 win over Corvallis

Pros: They played a pretty Balanced game with HB Bo Gnowes rushing for 5.7 yards a carry, and QB Jake Obergfell only throwing 2 incompletions, and 2 TDs. WR Sir Mustard Ketchup had a big day with over 100 WR yards, and both 2 receptions.

Cons: Way! To many missed tackles in this game for San Diego. They missed 11 total and still held Corvallis to 13 points. Corvallis is a good team but the two teams in front of them won’t let San Diego get away with mistakes like that.

Next Game: vs Oakyville Nungas

4) Rocky Mountain Rampage: 4-0
Last Game: 26-14 win over Oakyville

Pros: Their halfback tandem worked very well together, and they kept the Nunjas out of the game completely which is something Anchorage couldn’t do. K Mike Vanderjagt nailed all 4 FG attempts and made both of his extra points. On defense CB Ciribass Chavez had 4 tackles, 2 for loss, 3 Pass Deflections, 1 Forced Fumble, and 1 INT

Cons: QB Joe Starr didn’t have a GREAT game, but was effective enough. Won’t be enough to win against the Seawolves though. It’s time for this team to show us if they are for real. A huge game with Anchorage coming up next week

Next Game: vs Anchorage Seawolves

5) Omaha Dogs: 3-1
Last Game: 29-0 win over Hyborian

Pros: This team has completely bounced back after their opening game loss, beating Hyborian, 1 week after beating Albuquerque. This was a huge game for their defense coming through with the shutout, and holding Hyborian to only 156 yards of offense. They also forced 4 turnovers. HB Cannon Ball had 134 yards and averaged over 8 yards a carry. He also broke 10 tackles

Cons: They played with a QB tandem and their starter didn’t do so well, completing under 50 percent of his passes. Other than that they should be very happy with this win over previously 4th ranked Hyborian

Next Game: vs Kalamazoo Wolverines

6) Chattanooga Quarantine: 3-1
Last Game: 36-23 win over Kalamazoo

Pros: This game was back and forth throughout the whole 1st half until the Quarantine defense stepped up and held them scoreless in quarters 3 and 4. QB Kenny Palmer had a big day throwing for 3 TD passes. WR Cookie Mcree had 127 yards and a TD and LB Keaton Bolton was a beast with 13 tackles and 1 Forced Fumble

Cons: Their ground game never got going, and they gave up 23 points in the 1st half. If not for the 41 yard TD pass and the kickoff return for a TD at the end of the 1st half this game would have gone a lot differently

Next Game: vs Dakota Ruffians

7) Hyborian Divine Messengers: 2-2
Last Game: 0-29 loss to Omaha

Pros: Ranking Hyborian behind the Quarantine was tough, because they beat them just last week. Don’t be fooled by their 2-2 record, their losses have come to Omaha and Reno. In this game they just never got going especially on the ground. LB Matt Shanahan played a good game with 11 tackles, 1 for loss, a Forced Fumble and a Pass Deflection

Cons: I personally think HB Matthew Shanahan (not to be fooled with LB Matt Shanahan) is one of the best in the league, but he’s been very streaky this season. This game was just plain bad for him, as he averaged 1.7 YPC, lost 2 fumbles, and got tackled in the backfield 3 times. He really has to pick up the pace.

Next Game: at San Francisco Wildcats

8)Albuquerque Mustangs: 2-2
Last Game: 47-0 win over San Francisco

Pros: Albuquerque was obviously pissed about the back to back losses and took it all out on the Wildcats. They held them to 98 total yards, and -5 rushing yards. That is not a typo, negative 5 rushing yards. Both their QB tandem and HB tandem had great games and their FG kicker has 4/4 on FGs and 5/5 on XPs.

Cons: They had 3 fumbles, but only one was lost. Nothing too bad came out of this game, a game against the dangerous Apollos coming up will be interesting

Next Game: at Houston Apollos

9)Houston Apollos: 2-2
Last Game: 10-27 loss to Anchorage

Pros: It’s not like they got blown out, and they were facing a very good team. I’m sure they were hoping for a major upset but they should be fairly happy with this outcome. Their passing game worked fairly well and WR Vault Jones played a good game

Cons: They didn’t try to establish a running game and when they did run it didn’t work anyway. QB Dejonn Redd threw 2 INTs. At least they don’t have to face the Seawolves again in the regular season. A big game coming up against Albuquerque.

Next Game: vs Albuquerque Mustangs

10)Corvallis Furburgers: 1-3
Last Game: 13-33 loss to San Diego

Pros: What a tough last 3 games for the Furburgers. They’ve faced and lost to Anchorage, San Diego, and Rocky Mountain. All undefeated teams. The Furburgers are not as bad as their record indicates so don’t sleep on them.

Cons: The problem with losing those 3 games is they’ve shown they are not an elite team. They are good enough to make the playoffs, but they haven’t played any of the 3 teams close enough to be considered real championship contenders. It doesn’t get any easier this week.

Next Game: at Reno 911

11)Oakyville Nungas: 0-4
Last Game: 14-26 loss to Rocky Mountain

Pros: After playing Anchorage very close and coming within a last second FG of beating them they were rewarded with playing another undefeated team in the Rampage. They were never really in the game, but it wasn’t exactly a blowout. QB Ryan Hart played decent, and WR Negro Wilson had a 100 yard receiving day. Nikka Barna had 16 tackles with 1 for loss on defense.

Cons: Two close games, two losses for the Nunjas who are still winless. They face the other 2 undefeated teams the next two weeks so don’t look for that to change. Their running game never got going against Rocky Mountain, but if they want to win they shouldn’t abandon it.

Next Game: at San Diego Marauders

12)Kalamazoo Wolverines: 1-3
Last Game: 23-36 loss to Chattanooga

Pros: They were in the game all 1st half, putting up all 23 of their points. I don’t know what went wrong but they were a different team after halftime. WR Dezmon Briscoe also had an up and down game. 131 yards, 2 TDs but 4 drops.

Cons: This team is better than 1-3. They’ve also had a rough schedule and could get things back on track soon. They have been very inconsistent as evidenced by almost all their players in this game. They’ll need to fix that if they want to end up in the playoffs

Next Game: at Omaha Dogs

13)Trojan Warriors: 1-3
Last Game: 23-20 win over Dakota

Pros: This team isn’t going to win many games so they should be happy to come out of this one with the W. Their QB threw for over 300 yards and WR Windex the Third had 209 yards receiving which I believe is the highest for any WR this season (though admittedly not sure). They only had to punt 4 times.

Cons: This is kind of a best of the worst situation. San Francisco, Trojan, and Dakota are all better than Ambridge but will pretty much be competing for the 13th spot all season, assuming Houston doesn’t fall back down.

Next Game: vs Ambridge Brigade

14)San Francisco Wildcats: 1-3
Last Game: 0-47 loss to Albuquerque

Pros: Their kicker didn’t miss a FG

Cons: The Wildcats we’re still partying after their win against Houston last week and forgot they had a game.

Next Game: vs Hyborian Divine Messengers

15)Dakota Ruffians: 0-4
Last Game: 20-23 loss to Trojan

Pros: They kept it close, and their starting QB played a very good game. HB James Ellroy also played well in the loss

Cons: This game was one they could have one, but their defense played bad. Their pass defense couldn’t stop anything, especially if it was thrown to Windex the Third

Next Game: at Chattanooga Quarantine

16)Ambridge Brigade: 0-4
Last Game: 6-51 loss to Reno

Pros: Reno is one of the best teams in the league so this is nothing to be upset over. They continue to show up and try which is all the league asks of them

Cons: They get to face Trojan this week who they maybe just maybe can hang with.

Next Game: at Trojan Warriors

Games to Watch in Week 5

#1 Anchorage Seawolves at #5 Rocky Mountain Rampage

The first matchup of any of the top 4 teams and this one will show a lot. If Rocky Mountain wins this game it’ll go a long way in showing they are a true contender in this conference. So far they haven’t beaten a team that is even .500. Anchorage meanwhile hasn’t been playing as well as San Diego and Reno the last 2 weeks and a big win here will send a message to everyone

#8 Albuquerque Mustangs at #9 Houston Apollos

A big game for both teams here. Both are currently 2-2, both headed in different directions. Houston surprised everyone starting off 2-0, but can they get back on track. Albuquerque disappointed everyone starting off 1-2, but now has the chance to get to 3-2 and right back in the hunt for top 4 seed in the playoffs

#11 Oakyville Nunjas at #3 San Diego Marauders

Oakyville nearly beat Anchorage, hung with Rocky Mountain, and now it’s San Diego’s turn to face them. I don’t expect the Nunjas to win but I don’t think anyone would be surprised if they made it interesting.

Just 1 little thing that i must say. We are the Nungas not Nunjas. You did it last week and this week. Thanks for everything you have done, and just a suggestion since you go over every single game in the conference. Possibly name a O and D player of the week? I dont want to overburdern u, but i think that would be cool.

Great write up as always.

Anchorage and Reno are on a crash course for a monster week 7 match up. Should be a great game.
