I hate Houston and Jacksonville..... but I do love Austin.

San Antonio drops a big load on Austin, and for the record Houston is great for those that live there(minus those retarded katritians that will not leave) but it all depends on what you are looking to do. Houston lacks the college appeal of 6th Street in Austin but we make up for it with a very underrated bar scene (Big Woodrows is one of the best Sports bars), great Blues, Jazz, Rock, etc.

If you come to Houston and do not go to Warehouse Live, The Concert Pub, or Scout Bar then you have failed to give Houston a try. I will probably be at Scout Bar on the 16th for Mushroomhead and the 30th for PM5k....but whatever enjoy florida

Sorry but Austin is an oversized college town, if that is your thing enjoy. However, I prefer to avoid bars filled with drunken frat boys who for the record seem to enjoy trying to pick fights with soldiers coming up from Fort Hood.

I will call the Katritians(those displaced by Katrina that are now on a permanent "Vacation" in Houston) retarded as long as they continue to act as such. It's not as if Katrina happened yesterday I kinda remember it due to the fact that I was there for disaster relief, it is time to get a job.

LOL, soldiers don't need frat boys to find a way to get in a fight. Anywhere I'm stationed near Army, they are always getting into fights. The bars with the drunken frat boys tend to be the best ones, cause that's where the drunken college girls are. I dunno, maybe you're a "dont' ask, don't tell" beneficiary.

I know what a "Katritian" is. Do they have a big "K" stamped on their forehead? Or is that the new localized PC term for n*****.

I would not use Katritian as a racial slur, the welfare system is used more by "white" crowd anyway. It is the mindset of people from LA that they are still owed something and they refuse to work until they are paid, begging at an intersection is one thing but posting up outside of a store? I have nothing against people from LA, some of my best friends are from the Hammond area, I just can not stand people that will beg outside of a building that says "NOW HIRING".

As far as Army and fighting goes, yes people in the Army fight, but when partying is the goal I would rather not get arrested. I guess you are right, must be gay to get laid while others are fighting.

Having lived in both, Florida (tampa, clearwater, sarasota, venice, west palm beach, wellington and orlando) and Texas (currently houston) I have to give the edge to TX. I miss the beaches and the water (Galveston is a mockery of water), but the overall vibe is much better here.

I've only been to Orlando, and I have to say that it rivals Houston for horribad cities.

Texas is pretty great, Austin and Dallas are by far the best major cities in the state.

San Antonio is not bad either... a well kept secret.

Except for all the beaches in SoCal.

Otherwise, ya, not too many other rivals.
