Pretty sure Vision is a part of the breaktackle roll, though a very small pert I would say.

Link?? Your gonna hafta prove that one. Nowhere does it say that vision has anything to do with breaking tackles.
If so, how do you explain all the Power Backs who get vision to 40 and leave it? I would say that vision helps more to
AVOID tackles. Not break them.

I suppose I would explain it in the same way that I explain how good DTs and DEs can break blocks all over the place, even though they have not trained Blocking at all...which happens to be part of the shed-block roll.

I mean, I agree with this, but I suppose the counterpoint is that you would never drop SP in blocking on a DE.

So basically vision, if it is part of the break tackle roll, is such a miniscule part that I certainly wouldn't take it high thinking that it would help in triggering spin.

My sense is that vision plays a *little* larger role in the break tackle chance than blocking does in the break block roll (which is definitely miniscule).

The question as to how much you want comes down to whether vision has other positive effects (it does, for faking and receiving and a bit for pathing) and at what point you are better off with Str, agi, carry, conf, sta, jumping....all of which are (almost certainly) more important for breaking more tackles in an actual game.

As such, for any sort of a p-back, vision to 40 and no further is arguably the best route to take. For a combo back or receiving back, vision to 49 is almost certainly worthwhile, and for a pure elusive/scat back vision to 68 is possibly justified (perhaps even higher).

The tl;dr version:
If you want to spin more, raise agility, carrying, str and make sure you have enough vision for SYM.

Honestly, even for an elusive back vision past ~55 doesn't seem to have an effect.

obviously not on a WR, but i can't really figure out why this guy doesn't break more tackles....

vision at 44 is the only thing that pops out to me.

your brk tackle/carries ratio is about 50%, that's pretty good for a non-powerback, right?
