Your overthinking it. Watch any big play made by a LB and you will see 90% of the time agility isnt even performed. Its all speed, vision, and strength. The game engines behind madden and this game are 100% different. Bringing Madden up is just pointless.

Top 5 LBs in the NFL are...

1) Shawn Merriman
2) AJ Hawk
3) DeMarcus Ware
4) Paul Pozluzney
5) Brian Urlacher

So you're saying that every tackle made in GLB today, the defender goes straight after the ball carrier. Because that is such a lie.

I'm going to try to break this down very simply .. In getting from one point to another you will need to start, stop, and turn. So think about your LB as a car. To get to your desired destination, you need to drive your car 100 yards straight (your first 5 steps towards the ball carrier as he receives the hand off), follow a curved road for another 50 yards (engages a blocker with strength, and then gets away with acceleration), and then make a left turn (finally getting into the RBs lane/hole/gap) into a straight away of another 100 yards (your last few steps at him). Also, consider that this analogy(sp?) doesn't even have the RB juking.. anyways, let's continue..

When you intially put your foot on the gas pedal (that's your acceleration)
Every time you consistently hold your foot on the gas pedal (that's your speed)
And when you turn the wheel (that's your agility)

To get to my desired destination from the route I previously described..

Acceleration to get the car going. Speed for that first straight away. A lot of Agility and Strength to make those turns (to engage and then get away from the defenders). Acceleration hitting the hold hard at the ball carrier. And then Speed to finish off with the hit.

Now, as you can see. A LB needs a lot more AGI/ACC to make a play then he does SPD. You don't even need much SPD at all if the play is run at you..

Why not? They break individuals down in Madden like we do in GLB. What do you have against it?

After much thought I agree with you 100%. Madden and the GLB guys are trying to do the same thing.

Madden and GLB are a lot alike and most likely use a similar system

S/A/V , 53/40/33

I make allot of plays that look like the gangsta INT there, just no INT's yet. Have a handfull of these TFL's like this, I often see my LB run by the other backfield players to make a tackle first. ROLB makes you hungry for action, must get to it!

I have my agility up to 40 now, and I don't really see myself putting many more points into it for a few levels. As it is my guy is basically a blur on the field. The biggest reason for me having so many points in agility to begin with is to help activate shed block and get some sacks, but now that I'm at LOLB instead of ROLB I'm blitzing considerably less.

I realized this at the start of the season. Both my LB's have now had their AGI spiked. Working on vision now, but both have speed/strength/agi in the 40's with vision around 35ish.

How is Paul Pozluzney the 4th best LB in the game when he's played 3 games total in his NFL career?

Shawn Merriman is a pass rusher, he's terrible at everything else. I'd say the best 5 in no order are: DeMarcus Ware, Patrick Willis, DeMeco Ryans, DJ Williams, and Adalius Thomas. Brian Urlacher has been on the decline the past season or so, he's very overrated.
