Maybe it is Baseball. One way we could do it is require each voter to include at least two players from each team on their ballots.

1. Have 5 guys per team nominated; (gutted teams are exempt)
2. Have a committee pare down the list if needed, or add to it if needed (we have 16 nominees for HB, but only 1 for FB)
3. Set number of positions available (two QB's, etc.)
4. Design an avatar for those elected to use if they want for the next season.
5. Have the voting done at a site that allows polls.

Just my two cents.

That's way too many. That gets you 64 players, and there are only 88 spots. 1 per team seems fair. Honestly, who from the Gutter Hawks are you going to put on?

I haven't looked at it, but it might be incredibly hard to do that if we limit the number of positions. Look at the Gutter Hawks. There are 2 players above level 14 on the team. None of them would even start on my team. They don't even have a punter. Who are you going to put on? Their QB? There might be 15 QBs better than him out there. I think we should *try* to put at least one player from each team out there, but it's going to be a real challenge in some spots. It's going to come down to they have one player who even stands a chance, which pushes back a ton of other players who are well deserving.

You could always just do the first team/second team for each conference, then have "reserves" which will have spots for each team to make sure they have one player there.

I think its far too hard to guarantee 1 player per team without some type of selection committee.

Just my 2 cents..

Some positions don't translate into a lot of stats sometimes even when players are doing exceptional. CB for instance. I would submit that a starting CB who never allows a TD is a better shut down player than oe that has 95 tackles and few picks.

Are things like that going to be considered?

I would think that'd be hard to quantify; maybe viewable stats are the only criteria?

There are going to be tough positions to make a call on. It's almost impossible to evaluate a good blocking FB unless you go through each game of every fullback and watch. LBs will be tough because the LBs with the most tackles are on the worst teams and are on the field getting the ball ran right at them every play. CBs is another one where all you can do is look at the numbers. I would say with CBs though I wouldn't rate tackles very high. I would look very closely at Interceptions though.

An easy way to guarantee someone from every team is to say if a team doesn't have someone on it, the owner of the snubbed team can pick a player to add as an honorable mention.

Or an alternate

Ok, how bout leaving the Gutted teams exempt? We can can include them, but unless it is unanimous than their guys are Honorable Mentions. They shouldn't be bumping out deserving players.

But I wanna say that the Teams that have stuck it out without quitting like little School girls, should still have guys on the Pro Bowl Team.
Colorado, You guys Rock!
Oakland, hang in there man!
I commend you guys, and you will be just fine!
