My position has changed, now I am against coaches entirely for all cap leagues, but my focus is almost solely pee wee anyway. I don't think coaches would improve pee wee, and we need to keep them out of here. However, the 50 man roster might be better received. I don't think that is a problem since it affects all pee wee teams evenly. What do you guys think?

That's what they said about health care. I still don't like the idea.

Glad to see there will be no coaches in PW. But if anyone can figure out what the heck this means: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=3946719 . Please let me know!

I'd like to know too. Seems you train less you get more bonus tokens. I dunno

Complicated. Basically, you can choose to train a single attribute at a large increase, or you have a variety of options to gain bonus tokens.

Also, you can buy trains or shopping tokens every season with a fixed unit of cash that can only be used for one of those two items.

And you can use bonus tokens for a lot more crap. Including buying skill points, buying temporary boosts to up to 3 attributes, and making your training more effective.

I'm just waiting for someone to do the math and release a spreadsheet that shows the most effective way to train a player depending on your goals. Honestly, I don't think the training system needed to be made more complicated.

Ok, here's what I've noticed:

1. Coaches will not apply in pee wee as it stands right now.
2. The training system will obviously apply here and I think makes the game more interesting.
3. The finances system will be a mess because it doesn't work with pee wee at all. It will be interesting to see what they do.

Yeah pretty much what I gathered too. I read the training system, and I don't consider myself a stupid guy or bad with numbers, but it was like reading greek. I'm all for a fun system, but they got to make it so people can understand it, or they will lose customers because they will get frustrated with it. ( "zomg eff this" - emo guy )

Shopping tokens won't play a factor save the few teams that use AEQ, but it seems to me that if I were in gold I'd get my TBs cause let's be frank you gotta win games, but if in copper/silver I'd go for more training points and a higher Dot overall for the playoffs in the end game. I'd have to see the new training method myself on my home page and goof off with it some. It is just wicked confusing.

If thats the case then you can count on a lot of copper and silver teams winning all the tourneys with the advantages they would be having.

Things You Can Spend On Goal Line Blitz
Real Money -> Flex Points (can also get FP through referrals)
Flex Points -> Buy with cash, earn with referrals or a modship, spend on new players, boosts, CE, teams, PFs, scrimmages, etc.
Reward Points -> Like Flex Points, but no refunds and you get them for free in various ways (seasonal, holidays, contests)
Skill Points -> Gain 5 per level or purchase with BTs, used to raise attributes/skills or secondary attributes.
Trains -> Get 2/day, or buy with RU. Used to incrementally increase attributes/skills
Shopping Tokens -> Purchase with RU. Used to refresh the advanced equipment shop, or improve the AEQ shop
Bonus Tokens -> Earn through the training system, used for temporary boosts, unlocking new training options (higher intensity, multiple attributes at once), upgrading AEQ, boosting morale/energy, buying SPs, unlock new SAs, switch SAs
Resource Units -> Gain a fixed number per season. Used to purchase trains, shopping tokens, or AEQ
In-Game Cash -> Paid out by teams. Used primarily to purchase morale-boosting items for players
XP -> Earn daily, by being on a team during a regular season game, or by playing a regular season game. Automatically spent to level
VXP -> Earn later in the player's career, spend on Veteran Abilities
Fame -> ??

We really need to add a few more currencies to GLB. The current system is okay, but it needs more options, more choices, and less cookie-cutter currencies.

i tried following the training updates and I am so confused. Its just tons of information piled on top of more information. tbh i dont know what to make of it until I actually use it. I actually thought training was fine the way it is, maybe they shouldve spent more time on how to make ST realistic instead

I was hoping a math major would come on here and help me visualize the actual impact this is going to have on PeeWee...I got hit in the head too many times playing ball in college to sit down and figure it out.

What I've gathered:

We'll get TP normally. But we'll also get 100 resource units at the beginning of the season.

However, we'll need to use those resource points to buy equipment (sounds like 2 points initially, another 4 for the upgrades...IF you only have 1 set of equipment). You'll also need them to be able to train more than 1 attribute at once.

It also sounds like training will get more effective the more you train an attribute if you train on intense. BUT if you train on intense you won't get any bonus tokens.

Like I said, I'm not good with the math, but for some reason I'm envisioning PeeWee players being not as good with the new training system, and a lot of builds being stacked in 1 attribute rather than more mixed/blended builds. I also think there will either be a ton of bonus tokens or zero bonus tokens for temp boosting, but I'm not sure which.

Anyone else thinking this will make our PeeWee players worse? I just get the impression that this will cause players to start their careers more slowly, and then suddenly explode in development later in their careers.

this is what I came away with...which basically cancels out all the work they have been doing in prior seasons (passing boost, etc.)

you gotta figure pee wee's have to make up a significant portion of GLBs revenue's....and if it does in fact make them worse, then Bort will be disapointing a big portion of his customer base.

EDIT: its also bad business to assume everyone who plays GLB is a math whiz and is going to know right away how to assign these 100 points to pick out their EQ and save money for training. Then all over the suggestion page is going to be people asking for resets of these points. I can see it now.

Yeah, next year is definitely going to be a testing year. A throw-away season for a lot of teams, which will piss them off even more b/c they basically paid a lot of money for a wasted season.
