It's not fair, you guys have the best in peewee on offense, the best on defense. How is any other team supposed to compete with you guys?

Do I smell a hint of ass kissing here??

Don't worry...it tastes worse than it smells.

Updated with results of round 2. Please take a second to look at your team and make sure I didn't screw something up.

According to my calculations, congratulations are in order for Springfield Test Dummies, Mississippi Mud Dogs, DIRTY INC., and Atlantic City Surf, all of whom are now guaranteed eligibility for round 2 of the Pee Wee Cup.

Thanks, Gongadan for your work in updating this.

Silver teams are doing very well.

SBWL and FG have also clinched since they play an 0-2 team their last game which means the 1-1 teams play each other so they can't both win

Hey all, as I had said before - I was gone all weekend and Monday. Thanks so much to Gongadan for keeping the ship running while I was out.

Looks like we've had some really great games so far - and as hoped, you all are enjoying it and it is living up to the expectations we had.

Congrats to those who have clinched, and good luck to the many teams still in the hunt headed into Day 3 of pool play.

How is the tournament seeded?

I assume the 1st round will be entirely pool winners vs pool runner's-ups with no same-pool match-ups?

Are the 8 winners & 8 runner's up's seeded based on the point differential? Meaning the Pool winner with the largest point differential would play the runner-up with the worst?

Thanks!

i know in the world cup, the seedings are predetermined so for example:

Group A winner would play Group B runner up

then on the other side of the bracket, so the only way they could play again is in the championship:
Group B winner vs. Group A Runner Up

so something like this for one side of the bracket:

A1 v. B2
C1 v. D2
E1 v. F2
G1 v. H2

and this for the other side:

B1 v. A2
D1 v. C2
F1 v. E2
H1 v. G2

Its listed on the main post in tourneys.

I believe Winner from group A plays 2nd team in the last group and the 2nd team from group A plays the #1 team in the last group and so on.

I didn't see it anywhere.

There's a link to LE's summary just below Group H in that post -- http://www.nflfever2.com/Gold/grouping.htm

The problem with that page is that there are a couple of typos--(G5 2nd vs G8 2nd) Winner should be (G5 2nd vs G6 1st) Winner, and (G7 2nd vs G8) Winner should be (G7 2nd vs G8 1st) Winner. Also, the groups are listed as G1, G2, G3 instead of A, B, C.

I may be mistaken, but I believe that the format will be something like this: http://i42.tinypic.com/6hi24k.jpg The difference between that graphic and the link from nflfever2 is that in the graphic, the winner of A/B faces the winner of C/D (on each side), while the nflfever link indicates the winner of A/B should face the winner of G/H. Other than that, I believe they're identical.

Not a huge difference either way, and only affects the matchups for one round. Once the pools play is finished and the bracket comes out, that should be settled one way or the other.

I thought the 1st place teams and the 2nd place teams were going to be ranked based on score differential and then seeded appropriately. Not that it matters to me either way, that's just I thought was going to happen
