I guarantee you team record is not an important part of the equation. Bort has said he wants every player to have a shot at an MVP and by placing any kind of emphasis on team record what give a huge advantage to players on the top teams.

Using these two players I have accounted for all factors. Again, on paper, they are relatively equal in the contribution of their teams total offense, they both play the same position (both compared against the same players), etc... the only differing factors are the blowout adjusted stats

The mere fact how offended you are by this post really shows just how much you care about winning the MVP... how much you really care about getting that overpowered piece of equipment. It is an obvious emotional topic for you. I am sorry your greed prevents you from wanting a broken aspect of the game to be fixed.

From a pure opinion standpoint, Ace and Baggins had equally great seasons. You argue either way and not be wrong. That said, any formula put into place can really only evaluate stats... crunch the number outputs of the game.

Whether you like it or not... Borts formula would have chosen Baggins because he stats were better (all other things being equal) had it not been for the way blowout adjusted games effected the results.
