Tana River, Alaska (AP): The second season of the BBB 12 league is fully under way. Some teams have risen up to a fast start in the season while others have struggled. Overall there are ten teams who are still searching for their first win. There are also eight teams who have not lost. This week marks the end of the first quarter of the season. This is the time when better teams start separate themselves from the others.

In this early season, there are a few surprises in the Eastern Conference. New Jersey Blaze have sprinted out to a 3-0 record. Last season they made the playoffs as the seventh seed. They are looking to improve their rankings this season. All three of their games have been close. Their average margin of victory is just over six points. Critics have argued that the results aren't as impressive when looking at the competition. None of the teams they have defeated made the playoffs last season.

Another team that has started fast is the Tampa Bay Krakens. Last season Tampa Bay did not make the playoffs, but the change in name has seemed to help change the fate of the team. In week two, they got a signature win over Crescent City. Last season Crescent City was the fourth seed in the playoffs. Unfortunately for Tampa Bay, they dropped their game last week against FC Hezbollah. On paper, these two teams are similar. New Jersey does seem to have a slight advantage. They will look to continue building on their early success and create a little more separation between the Eastern Teams.

In the Western Conference, a match-up between two of last season's playoff. Possum Trot was the 8th seed last season while Houston took the 6th seed. Both teams sit at 2-1 on the season. Last season Houston sprinted out two a fast start in the season and coasted into the playoffs. In the off season, they made a lot of roster changes and are working to reach the same success they had. Their only loss this season has come to Chicago who is also making some noise after not reaching the playoffs last season.

Possum Trot stole the 8th seed of the playoffs from Long Beach Dub All-Starts last season. It took a win the final game of the season to reach 8-8 on the season and secure their spot in the playoffs. This season, they have fallen to Timpanogos in the second week. The team is very confident they can secure a playoff spot earlier in the season. They believe they can improve their stock and secure a higher seed. This game will help as they look to have an edge on Houston. This game could have playoff implications down the road as the loser will drop to .500 on the season.

Tana River, Alaska (AP): Week 5 in the BBB 12 bring us some good match-ups. Some could have playoff implications while others could really kill a teams playoff hopes. Their have been some early surprises, like Chicago starting 4-1 after missing out on the playoffs last season. As long as they avoid another long losing streak, they should make the playoffs. In the East, both Philadelphia and New Jersey have started strong. They both face tough teams this week.

One of the more interesting match-ups in the West take place at The Crypt. Los Angeles travels to Possum Trot to take on the Plague. Most people expected the Express to be one of the top teams in the West this season. Last season, they claimed the third seed in the playoffs and made it to the second round before losing to Honolulu. This season, Honolulu again got the best of the Express in the second week. After that let down, Los Angeles dropped a second game to Chicago. In the last two weeks, they have rebounded winning two in a row. Possum Trot was also a playoff team last season. They snuck into eighth place by winning their final game of the season. They then lost in the first round to the eventual league winning Bugeaters. This season, the Plague have had a fast start. Their only loss came in the second week to Thunder. Last week, they surprised many by beating Long Beach.

Los Angeles needs to win this game to continue to be considered one of the top teams in the West. They still have some tough teams remaining on their schedule. After last weeks win, more teams are taking notice of what Possum Trot is capable of. They also have some good teams remaining on their schedule, but a win here all but secures them a place in the playoffs.

In the East, two new teams to the league face off. 10-Yard Fight is fresh of a good win against the New Orleans Night Trippers. It has been a tough road so far, but the Fight have played some close games. It looks like they are starting to get a little more comfortable in their new league. Saint Paul was also new to the league this season, but have started out better. After dropping their first two games, they have put together three straight wins. They have the momentum as they travel to the Nintendo Entertainment Stadium. A win here would inch the Vulcans closer to a playoff birth.

Tana River, Alaska (AP): In the infancy of this season in the BBB 12, the Western Conference has dominated the big games. It can be argued that the West has a more competitive conference. This week shows more of the same. There have been some disappointments early such as Los Angeles starting the season at 3-3. They were planning to challenge for the best of the west. Now it appears they are fighting to make the playoffs. There is still time left in the season to turn things around. They do have some tough competition remaining on their schedule. Eugene also has started slow at 2-4. Of these six games, five have come against teams with no more than two losses. Some of the bigger games out of the West this week involve Honolulu making the trip to Texas to play the Mighty Chihuahuas. Chicago makes a trip to Alaska to battle the Ewoks.

The Eastern Conference is starting to warm up. There is a greater divide between the top and bottom of the conference. Three teams still remain undefeated. There have also been some disappointing starts from a couple teams. New Orleans and Crescent City were playoff teams last season. They are both struggling to position themselves to fight for a playoff birth this season. Awesomeville will get their first challenge of the season. They host Tampa Bay who has started well this season. Last season Tampa Bay ended with seven wins, this season they have already recorded three.

The biggest game in the East is when New Jersey makes the trek to Philadelphia. Both teams have jumped out to a fast start of the season. New Jersey has not dropped a game. Their best win of the season to this point came in the fifth week when they defeated FC Hezbollah. Philadelphia stumbled last week when they traveled to take on FC Hezbollah. This game could help determine home field advantage for the playoffs. If New Jersey can come out of Philly with a win, it will set up a possible battle of two undefeated teams in two week. There has been much talk of Awesomeville as the second best in the East. Of all the experts consulted, the Blaze is the unanimous favorite for their trip to take on the Pigeons.

Tana River, Alaska (AP): Season three is now in high gear. Teams are starting to separate themselves. A pecking order is beginning to form. This week brings us some more exciting match-ups. In the East, the Bearfins passed their first test of the season with a victory over Tampa Bay. In the West, there are a couple games that have playoff implications.

Awesomeville has started the season undefeated, though many critics point out they have played an easy schedule. The Bearphins have a chance to silence these critics over the next couple games. Awesomeville must make the trip to take on FC Hezbollah. This will be the first team they face with a winning record. FC Hezbollah has surprised many with their quick start to the season. They have surprised some teams and currently ride a two game winning streak. The Bearphins will have their hands full this game, but they should prevail.

The West also showcases a game similar to the East. Long Beach has to travel to Utah to face the Thunder. Long Beach barely missed the playoffs last season, but are making a good run this season. They have started with a 5-2 record. Their best win of the season was in week two versus Chicago. This is the first of two difficult games for Long Beach. Thunder has played a difficult schedule and has rolled right through. Their schedule remains difficult for another four games. Their last five games will give them time to recover and enter the playoffs healthy. As long as Timpanogos focuses on this game and doesn't look past Long Beach to their next week game against Honolulu, they should remain undefeated, and the Thunder rolls.

Another interesting match-up in the West involve Mighty Chihuahuas and Chicago Inferno. Both teams sit at 4-3. These teams are currently fighting for a playoff spot. A win here will go a long way for either team. Both teams have four more tough games remaining. A win here could all but guarantee a playoff birth for their team. Last season Chicago started strong. Around this time of the season, things fell apart. The visit by the Ewoks started a nine game loosing streak. They now sit on a two game loosing streak and some unanimous sources have claimed some Inferno players are creating problems in the locker room. No coaches or administrators for Inferno were contacted to confirm this. If Chicago does not take care of business this week, they travel to Dallas to try and break their streak. Both these games are important as the next two games will be very difficult and Chicago could be looking at a six game loosing streak. Can the Inferno keep their flame lit or will the Chihuahuas piss all over it?
