Bah. I've tried the whole 'Team' thing and I it sucks. You have to recruit, nag, and plead. The Pee Wee community is enough like a team that I don't need to have a whole bunch of people try and put together a competitive outfit. Hell, I have enough trouble trying to get my own dots to work like I think they should... could you imagine me trying to coach a team where I can't quickly manage the whole thing?

I have dots on enough teams at higher levels that I just don't have the patience to be involved in that many games. I built dots for a few Pee Wee teams last season, but I found that it was difficult to keep involved in all of the teams that I had dots on.

If I could own a second Pee Wee team I would run it like a team, but I'm just trying to stay competitive with the one that I've got.

Same here, I stopped having a "team" for the same reasons.

Good grief. To set the record straight for the 10th time for season 10. I was GM for Hamilton Ti Cats. Had 25 + players on the team. (All boosters and CEQ) The owner got into a spat with our DC as our DC was Head DC for the team, I was assistant. He also was DC for Llamas whom we played in the Championship Game. Right after we beat Belfast for the West Conference the Owner and DC got into a public argument in League thread.. It was determined that the owner had about 20+ multis on the team and was noted by admin as owner was squelched on... Perma banned all his players. NO ONE had control of the OAI nor were we able to adjust it for the championship game (With ALL his players banned we were not even sure if we would have to play with CPU players). The D was tinkered with, but not enough to beat a Team like the Llamas and the DC was DC for both Teams playing championship game so he new our Offense hands down. The owner fucked him over and blocked him out and then he retaliated and got him banned for using multis.. (Some of you might not even know about them but the Llamas were a Great Team!) Multiple Championships. (It was easy to tell the owner had multi's because when he went MIA for extended period of time all his players went inactive also, so it was a no-brainer they all went inactive the same day @ the same hour.)

Ti Cats O game was not able to be adjusted as the team was locked. Or were we able to bring back any of the GM's that were cut by the owner before being banned. I put in request for the team just like anyone else would of done had they contributed 15k flex to the team and had a lead GM position and some tactical game planning. The full control was given to me the day of the Championship Game I did not realize it obviously transpired that fast for a swap in ownership in 2 days. Doubt I could of done much to salvage that game anyhow with limited time and me knowing mostly about defense.

The TI Cats were one of about 5 Teams@ the inception of Gold League that had been to the championship game that were granted access to gold. I personally did not even plan on being in gold as I am sure many of the other teams that were granted into gold were not expecting it either. We went 8-8 our inaugural season I had to fly by the seat of my pants to learn how to do the AI's. I learned on both sides of the line day and night as I took on the challenge for a crash course in DotBall and game planning. (I did it all after the 3rd game of season 11, everything that had to do with the team I did it, So give me some credit where credit is due) It was far from easy running the whole team and trying to understand the OAI, as I was a bit familiar with DAI because our DC took the time to train me to be a decent assistant.

So whomever thinks it was handed to me. It wasn't. I bought it. I was already on board the team and working with the team. It was not just a placed order for someone elses team @ random On the same token we have been in Gold and to the playoffs every season that I lead the team. Yes we lost 1st round 2 times to SB and 1 to GC. Even making the Playoffs in Gold is a chore. Ask the 50+ Teams that have come and gone from Gold League.
We have also beaten some tough quality teams along the way. Actually we beat the Llamas I believe it was the second game of season 11 before they disband mid season and were not competitive any longer.

So when someone brings this shit up again here is the nuts and bolts for the real answer,

This is how I became the owner of Wambulance, Have been for 4.1 seasons. Anyone says anything different is full of horse shit!

Let it rest

Also NO we do not deserve to be on this list or asked to be.

If the Air It Out Tourney doesn't count as a gold, then I agree with this.

It shouldn't count. (I do not mean this in a negative way) It is a nice win!
However it is not a standard tourney imo.

Should definitely be on the list and take Wambulance off.

Just because you do not know how to gameplan for an air attack tourney should not make the tourney worth less. It's a solid tourney with solid teams. It's a game of passing and rushing and knowing how to play a better defense to compensate for the air ball. If anything the air attack tourney is even harder to prepare for and win because there are so many variables to planning for it. If you cover the outside to heavy you will get burned by the running game up the middle. If you play to deep the outside pitches will be open along with QB rollouts. Anyone can play in a tourney and run the ball 60 times and win. Thats basically what 80 percent of the teams do in the other "Standard" tourneys. This one forces you to try and pass and defend both run and pass.

You have your opinion I have mine,
In my book it is not a major tourney,
Never did I say it was worthless. Furthermore since I run the O and DAI's
it would be frivolous for me to change up both of them to enter and imo waste my time GP'ing for it.
It is perfect for other teams that have the ability to explore it and personnel to do it.

Reason.
In the past I did all aspects of running the team.

Recruiting
Scouting
Game Planning for
Offense and Defense.
Adjusting both AI's
Setting Team Tactics and training anywhere from 10-20 players.
(It was the best way for me to learn GLB and sure we took our lumps along the way as we never stop learning!)

(This is just for the regular season) This is in particular is why we have not entered many tourneys.
Hey we are 4-0 in the tourneys we entered Wooot!

I would join it, but I'm way too lazy to keep switching my AIs back and forth... also everyone knows that I hate gameplanning, so having to do all of this work for a sideshow tournament doesn't interest us.

We all know that the Bus builds a passing first team, do you really need a special tourny to feature it?

I have to agree with Lordevil here. It would definitely still need to be classified as a major tourney. It is however a very untraditional tourney and is more of a special circumstance one with the passing only (except for one quarter) kinda like a ST only touney or something except thats obviously an extreme example. I think Air Attack does a great job helping to promote the passing game and also gives the teams that participate a chance to fine tune their passing and their passing D which in turn helps during the league games.

Some of us are tired of the slam, slam, slam, slam philosophy and this is a good way to help try and move away from that.
