Sure it'll work, that doesn't mean it's optimal.

jumping needs to be higher than just the 48 cap. i dont care what kind of build your are making, it should at least be 60 capped.
my lvl 63 CB (retired)'s build is open in case you guys wanted to see it... since he does have 120 INTs, i think its relevant.

not saying that he is perfect... just saying that he has lots of INTs. would probably have more if i knew how to build when i first started.

I had a season 2 MLB and gradually through the seasons the LB community started realizing that Confidence is very important. It prevented the missed tackle "death spiral" and seemed to improve reaction time and pursuit angles (of course, not as much as Vision does, but a soft capped Confidence seemed to make a high Vision shine).

Anyway, I am wondering what you long term CBs think about Confidence? Just based on some teammates performance in the past I think it is important. We had one guy that had a high 50s CB with great attributes but Confidence in the teens and he was always getting smoked for long TDs, especially in the 4th Quarter. It also seemed like once he gave up a long pass, more were sure to follow (kind of like a blown coverage death spiral). Despite our DC and owner's requests, he never increased his CBs confidence and our team always fell short of a championship.

The top 3 being very close to level of importance. Catching isn't even top 6 imo.

Against solid competition in which he's up against players with 10+ levels on him, he's had solid seasons, one after another. He doesn't have a ton of int's, but he makes plenty of plays while having 24 catching.

should be soft capped, but confidence generally has a lower priority than most other things. i would train it with stamina while getting jumping up with SPs. and then train it again with stamina while working on SAs.

This. But if your CB is lacking in conf. you will see him sort of collapse as a game goes on (assuming he gives up a pass or two) and giving up a long TD pass is killer.

I have to think Strength is more important than catching, especially with all the 3 WR sets everyone runs. That's one less LB on the field, and if your CB has the strength to tackle a RB rushing outside, you can really help out your team and screw the offense's game plan. Some points in David vs. Goliath and all the better.

Personally, I plan on soft capping Strength now that I've soft capped Jumping.

Strength is more important than catching. It does all that you said, PLUS it helps you gain position for a PD/int, it'll also help you knock the ball loose (though not as much as tackling will).
Strength is a good attribute for CBs, arguably on par with jumping.
