74/68/68 would be bare minimum for either safety position, IMO.

You dont play in deep coverage. You play like a LB. Also your agi is higher than 68.

By raising them higher it really limits your other attributes for an effective safety. Again, others will say otherwise of course. I am a fan of keeping Speed and Vision at a 1:1 ratio with Agility a little behind. Getting Speed and Vision to 68 before touching Agility is another way to go and probably one I would prefer.

Both those plays are from the 1st qtr of your last game. Also it takes your players forever to get back into there zone.

The first play the RB has my safety outleveled by 10 levels. That is 50 skill points plus how much else training and at least +4 on equipment. Is the conclusion that my safety with additional speed and/or agility makes that tackle? I doubt any safety with the "consensus" 74/68/68 base makes that tackle with regularity against a RB that has 10+ levels on him. Agree or no?

The second play, again has a QB that has 10+ levels on the safety as well as a WR with 5+ levels on him. Is the conclusion that a safety with 74/68/68 base makes that a tackle there or a pass deflection there? My safety covered tons of ground due to the alignment and you are going to fault my safety for that play? Sorry, but that is funny.

The thing about not capping things high like that is that you'll have the advantage over slowbuilds till like lvl55-60 (depending on how slow the other build went). Then when they start to round out the build with SAs guys like that get lapped. Then again, there needs to be players like that to help out the teams in A and AA make the playoffs or try to promote. You can still get around to SAs and lesser attributes with a 115+speed slowbuild but it just get rounded out till lvl 55-70. The guys are built to peak for about 2 or 2and a half seasons. Kinda lame, i know but unfortunately, that's how bort made this work out and you have to do so to compete with the top teams out there

My safety gives up 15 levels regularly. Yet he hasn't had that happen to him the entire season. Maybe it's because 110+ speed and 80+ vision is good.

shhh... don't tell people you can have 115+speed, 80vision, 80agility and 2 other things 60capped with the others at 50 plus good SAs. Better for people to think it's impossible and to continue to build inefficiently.

Then again, it was like pulling teeth to find solid FSs and SSs this past offseason in recruiting

Just curious, where is your eq assigned with the 115/80/80 build? Seriously impressed if you can hit those numbers at level 50.

My guy doesn't have 115/80/80. He will, but yeah, if he had that at 50 it would be impressive.

I'm sure that a better builder has done it or come close, though.

When I run a simulation on my SS who I 68 capped speed on first. He will be at 80 natural by level 56, which would net 118 with EQ, is that still shy for pro-league? By level 72 he would be near 130.

The spd wont be the problem its the lack of agi to make that 118 spd effective.

FS is by far the hardest position to recruit imo.

Just looking at my SS, and by no means do I know what I'm doing ... but my current plans will be at this when he boosts to 70 before his final season:

Speed 114.91 (+33)
Agility 87.46 (+9)
Strength 74.91
Vision 82.91 (+3)
Tackling 66.91
5 Change Direction
7 Super Vision
And right now Big Hit would be 11 to two AEQ pieces .... but that's up in the air. Just what I've found so far.

Jumping, stamina and confidence get trained from here on out ... not exactly sure on the numbers.

Whether that's good enough, I have no idea. But the sim will change enough that I'm sure there's no real way to guess right now. I guess I could get 8 SPs back for SAs by not bumping strength to the 73 cap. There's about 15 I could get back by leaving tackling lower. Those might be better served in Wrap-Up Tackle and Diving Tackle. I don't know ... I'm delaying those decisions until vision and agility are high enough.
