I said they probably were in the beginning, but that still doesn't take away from what they actually were - a winning SEA team - not a slow build USA Pro team, but you USA Pro guys like to take credit for TKW than be my guests even if they were never in your region lol - typical

I'm not trying to give USA Pro credit for TKW of anything. I've just seen the HHW themselves say it is their farm team as recently as last season. I'm sure they abandoned that as soon as they made the WL, but it doesn't change the team's origins.

Alright well I believe you since I am not too familiar with them, I just think the comment of stating that TKW was really a USA Pro team because it is ran by 2 brothers that run HHW is a total retarded comment.

For me team pride is first, player pride is second, and a VAST third is regional pride. Really who cares? I guess if your region has suffered from a lack team identity/integrity a great deal by repeated merging and colluding, it might matter to you... but for those of us who'd rather fail with our own teams, rather than succeeding as a fraction of a larger conglomerate it matters very little.

Team colluding and merging is not good for the game in my opinion. It destroys rivalries, reduces team camaraderie, and dilutes franchise's history and legacy. It also presents an unfair advantage over teams and owners who choose not to do it. The sad thing is it will get to the point (if it's not there already) where it's considered necessary to win at the highest levels of the game.

I know some people will do whatever it takes and win at all costs, but to me it just feels 'soulless'. And with the amount of chest-beating coming from USAPL and CPL (perhaps the two biggest offenders) it's a good indication that these agents are feeling a little 'empty' about it as well.

But to say that TKW is a farm team for a USA team is ridiculous. That simply didn't happen. I've been competing in the same league as Datong for several seasons now, and I can remember him getting fired up in the AAA (nevermind Pro!) forums, so I know he took it more seriously than a farm team.

Certainly USA is a very strong region, was a strong region, and probably always will be. GLB is a game played primarily by Americans, and just for that factor alone USA will attract the majority of agents and players. I just don't get the behavior coming out USAPL all the time. The bragging and bravado is one thing, and I find that acceptable for the most part. But suggestions that other regions aren't challenging, their victories not as meaningful, or that their elite teams are secretly USA teams is not only outright stupid, but insulting. People put a lot of time, effort, and flex into their teams, and achieving Pro (in any region) is something they should rightfully be proud about. It's just one team that wins the WL trophy each year, but that does not mean that other 'inferior' teams can't find smaller successes to enjoy.

I think you're really overestimating the amount of merging going on.
