positive (I asked this question of Bort back when chemistry came out, unless he's changed it since then 10 chem is 10% penalty, there is no such thing as 0 chem)

Yes, I know that there is no such thing as 0 chem. Still thought he set it up so 0 chem would have been 10%, but I have no problem being wrong, thanks for the info.

Edit for hazy edit: Makes more sense, thanks for the info.

It matters, but isn't the end all be all.

At 60 chemistry, Chem penalty is only 4.45%, you have to remember that the lowest chemistry can go is 10, so it's not a flat .1 per point of chemistry.

Basically a team at 100 Chem is running at full efficiency, a team at 10 Chem is taking a 9% hit "to certain football skills". So if a team is at 90 and they are playing a team who is at 70 the Team at 70 is only operating at 2% less on "certain football skills" than the team at 90.

On day one of the regular season if KC is playing MOD ( who will be around a 50 by than) KC will be going at full capicity. MOD will be taking a 5% hit to some of their skills. So a KC and a MOD dot both have 100 blocking, The KC dot is Blocking at 100, while the MOD dot will be only blocking at 95.

Wouldn't 10 Chem be a 9% Penalty

No, it's 10% - I'll double check with Bort just to make sure, might take him a week to answer though lol.

In my experience with chemistry, you don't necessarily want to get as high as possible right off the bat...it can be a good idea to leave yourself a little room to get higher later on if you feel the need.

So 10 is actually zero O_o. It's moments like this I'm glad Bort isn't my accountant.

Here is the real question how much does 10 overall and 10 defensive chem hurt you? 20% ?

Or both of them have to be that low to affect you the full 10%

Yea, is there a difference between offensive, defensive and overall? I'd assume overall would effect the whole team but does it stack with offensive? Does overall not matter and the only thing that does is offensive/defensive?

I'm guessing "certain football skills" means stuff like vision, confidence, throwing, catching and stuff while speed/strength/agility/jumping would be unaffected. Which makes sense seeing as low chem teams are still able to play really well for the most part since speed and strength (on the line at least) still kill in this game. I know some people report that passing is more difficult with low chem and that makes sense since you have vision/throwing of QBs and vision/catching of WRs. Maybe it effects SAs?
