Wow, this is embarrassing. Declining promotion should not be an option. Or if you decline you get relegated one level lower as a result.

I definitely think there needs to be more incentive to join (not sure why there isn't enough) and a big punishment for declining.

Well the precedent for declining promotion to World League had already been set before this so.........kind of inevitable that other teams would follow suit.

But the entire league Pussing out is freaking sad...F them, from now on APL doesn't get an invite or better yet just take away the lolPro title in front of their less than mediocre AAA league

i've had nothing but good interactions with rjssob and grits, but the fact that they turned down promotion is really, really weak. they've lost 1 game in APL the last two seasons and decided to stick around and dominate again.

these are all simply side effects of something being crammed into place at the last minute without a whole lot of thought being given on how it would flesh out, imo.

I suppose rules could be put in place to address these situations, and then a poll of the owners could be taken with the results of that poll being what is actually implemented instead. Oh, wait. Already been done.

It is a Beta game folks. Stop crying and deal with it until it is fixed properly. Until then, enjoy the game, which appears to be a near impossibility in the WL, except for Halifax of course.

But really, once you get to the point of offering non-playoff teams promotion, that league should just forfeit their promotion for that season.

Bort, I think you have to punish teams that decline a promotion. I understand why they do, but you can't simply allow folks to decline a promotion with no penalty. At the very least, reset their fan support (or even penalize it).

This should go in next season (of course).

Right now, folks don't really want to promote and get their heads bashed it. You gots to either give a big reward for the WL, or a big punishment for declining.

I pretty much agree with something like this.

The way GLB works is if you win your way into WL -- you go to WL

Everyone up here knows there are only a handful of teams with any chance of winning the title, but we play anyways.

That's the way the game works.

I voted against WL, and would vote against it again if it came up, but this is the system we're stuck with.

Teams shouldn't be allowed to "wuss out" unless under really specific circumstances.

Reread my post I said 16 playoff teams. And I really hope Bort would only consider Playoff teams. I know how many teams are in an entire league.
