I'd definitely have to agree with some, it was a great race last season between the Looters and the Trolls, and I for one cant wait for a rematch this season to hopefully lay a beating down on LA.

LA Looters are probably the 1st team i looked at once the schedule was released to see when we play (week 12)

I'm sure noone was expectine week 5 to be a decider for the playoffs last season, but week 12 in LA this year i think will be huge for both of us.

good luck LA ... see ya in the Looters Hideout

I look forward to playing the greyhounds more than any other team. I felt like we had the most talent last season but couldn't get some things together. But Tampa is one of those teams you hate to go up against but you enjoy the game. I think it will be a good rivalry, until the Naturals move up int USA A next season.. lol.

So... What's Pittsburgh think of the Bandits? You get much respect from us. Do you have any predictions to make about the outcome?

Well that's not ENITRELY true. I'm the offensive coordinator for the Bandits and on offense we tried what I though we needed to do to beat them. Not really anything very experimental about it. That was our downfall, we were predicatble and it showed. Unfortunately those tricky Looters decided to do a complete 180 on their previous game plan when we had a scrimmage against them day 40 and, since I had also completely reversed plans on offense, the result was a mirror image of our first loss. The teams both looked flipped around from the earlier game but the result was almost identical.

Defensively I don't think we did anything so expiremental it would account for the margin of loss either. The Looters made the playoffs beause their owners wisened up after the first third of the season and started building good players and using smart gameplans. I think their performance against Honolulu in the playoffs proved it beyond a doubt. They gave those hawaiians a MUCH closer game than any other teams did and I think if they had been seeded higher they could have made it as far as the conference championship before losing to that juggernaut of a team. I wouldn't be too surprised if they are in the A League next season.

I only said that ebcause on a previous thread, someone from your team, the Bandits, said that you sandbaged this guy to try to prepare for the Grizllies.

My bad if it was not true, but it was not some words without any proof.

Our games(looters) vs Bayou were good games.....i understand fully that it came down to strategy....and we just picked right....we have no major beef, team wise, with Bayou....its just me and Joshle from Bayou who got into it....he said they sanbagged....which i had to put on blast

if he said we just went a different way tactics wise...then cool...but how can lil CPU dots "sandbag" ..that comment was not only an excuse but a putdown....so we got into it.....it mostly between me and him....but it was minor....were cool...i hope....and now we have a great non conference rival

in conference...its the trolls for sure

You know what's funny, people who think the pittsburgh steelers have a better fanchise then the niners. One has the greatest qb, wr, coach, and saftey of all time, 5-0 in the superbowl, and have are about to rise to the top thanks to a guy named PATRICK FUCKING WILLIS! The steeler have some good player, but there dynasty was started on a shit call, and there last superbowl was a platter of shit calls.

Baton Rouge vs. LA Looters.

Of all the teams they really seemed to have our number last year, in our 0-5 start we had a few close losses and one game that was not close at all, but the only team that confounded us last year was Baton Rouge, even Honolulu didnt mess with us like these guys did. I am hoping for a Big win for us as we have a Brutal 3 game stretch (Baton Rouge, Northwest, Omaha) and need 1 hopefully 2 wins if not it will be another struggle for the playoffs.

Either way Good Luck Tigers!!!

YA that will be a Major game, this time hopefully we are fighting for the 1-4 spots int he playoffs instead of the 8th spot.

BTW its really good to see you guys doing well, I think we were ONLY people that though at the time of our game last year we would be good.

Thanks, you guys sure seem to have our number. That loss hurt BAD!! Seriously I couldnt even look at a computer till yesterday. Anyways you guys have a great team and I expect you guys to go far.

Side Note: For all the talk about which rivalries are the best (real life), ones that are based off hatred dont come close to matching the rivalries based off Respect IMO.

By far larger:

Red Sox-Yankees
Lakers-Celtics
Redskins-Cowboys
Maple Leafs-Canadiens
Carolina-Duke
Michigan-Ohio State

Iron bowl probably makes the top 5 college football rivalries. It's behind Michigan-Ohio State, Oklahoma-Texas, Army-Navy, and Harvard-Yale for sure. The latter two are probably the biggest 2 rivalries in college football; they're such huge rivalries that people watch the games year-in and year-out even though the teams involved are absolutely terrible (unlike other rivalries that get viewership not just from the rivalry but also from having good teams involved most years).

Alabama-Auburn is on par with USC-Notre Dame, Florida State-Miami, and Florida-Georgia. I probably put it ahead of FSU-Miami and Florida-Georgia, tied for the 5th-biggest college football rivalry with USC-Notre Dame.

The Iron Bowl suffers for the same reason Florida-Georgia suffers; it's a _huge_ deal for Bama (and Florida), but for the other two teams Auburn-Georgia is almost as big. Tough to call it one of the top 5 rivalries in sports when for half the fan base of one team it's not even the top rivalry for your home team.

EDIT: To re-phrase, there are certain rivalries that will make people who don't even watch the sport in question tune in. Non-baseball fans are drawn in by Sox-Yanks (esp. 2004). Non-college football fans watch Army-Navy. Non-college basketball fans watch UNC-Duke. Likewise Cowboys-Redskins and Lakers-Celtics. We've seen it with Ali-Frazier, Sampras-Agassi, Harvard-Yale, certainly in days gone by Nicklaus-Palmer, McEnroe-Conners, USA-Russia, and Kerrigan-Harding.

Auburn-Bama isn't anywhere near that level; it's a big rivalry within the sport, but (outside of the home areas for the 2 teams) it doesn't make people who aren't college football fans watch.
