ya but what about new owners who dont know what they are doing as far as tactics and AI's. wouldn't it help them out if they can get whatever edge they can get? Ive been an owner for 4 seasons now and have a pretty good idea on tactics and such but i still havent won the big one. i dont think its all that big of a deal.

I have had a busy real life this season so I haven't been around as much as I would have liked. There is a thread in the mod forum regarding pee wee and the changes to next season so it looks good for some pee wee updates!

I will mention the things in Thunder66 's post as these seem to be the most pressing issues.

Thanks man, I already sent my PM to Max who has talked to Bort and is willing to go over some of these issues so I hope we can get things fixed for next season.

However, the other issue that comes up on that front is that most new players don't join during off-season (just based on statistics, there's 14-15 off-days and 40 on-days). Most teams are not going to recruit mid-season for Pee Wee, as they'd be behind the rest of their players - if we could alleviate that somehow I think it would make sense. The only idea I have here is some type of pre-season cap, mid-season cap, and post-season cap (i.e., you can only have a maximum of 40 players before the season starts, then that increases to 55 after game 8).

Yes, this is a tricky problem. If you sign up for a new game you want to play right away. And usually that means D-league unless you time things correctly.

I've also heard kicked around the idea of allowing teams to sign higher level players later in the season. So, for example, if one of your agents goes inactive you can replace them with level 8 players at midseason rather than only having the option of level 1 players. But the downside is teams would then 'slow build' PeeWees. They would slow build them until level 8 or whatever and then sign them mid-season and destroy people with them. So unless they go by 'days old' rather than level this doesn't seem like a good alternative.

You could include the passing fix that I proposed. It is not Pee Wee specific, so I'm not sure that it belongs there.

Also thrown around is the possibility that the Hurry code is causing things that probably shouldn't be hurries to be considered hurries.

I posted this in the suggestion forum. I will repost it here because I feel that many outside peewees don't understand how broken passing really is.

Imagine that your DC found that "magic formation" that could be used every down, caused a 3 and out more than half the time and never gave up the big play. Why bother to gameplan? Why bother to adjust the defense? Just set it and forget it.

Now imagine that every team in your league has discovered this formation. Why bother to adjust your offense for your opponent? You know they're just going to run that formation. You know you'll rarely put together a drive longer than 40 yards.

In the end it comes down to who has the better punter and who can get close enough to drop in a FG or two.

That's how the peewees are now.

I would like to see more of the newest GLBers in the peewees. I would guess most of them spend their first season in the D leagues not knowing what's going on and a dead team forum with two years worth of "How do I ..." threads. That's how my first season was.

Retention would be better if these guys could join a human team with active owners and teammates.

*Suggestion* Peewee team owners have an option they can select "Replace CPU players"

If checked the system will try to replace any CPU players on the roster by automatically sending out contracts to newly created players with their D league offers.

New agents have the option of joining an active team right off the bat and they can receive some mentoring from more experienced players.

Even if the new agents sign on halfway through the season anything is better than a lvl 1 CPU.

*Contingent Suggestion* You could also change the Create Player page to include a "Peewee Team Available" field. This field would be active if there are currently peewee roster spots available for a chosen position. That would help new agents better judge which positions are really in demand.

It would also reduce the number of QBs and RBs that go inactive after their first season because they can't find a team.

I think that you should have to play on a peewee team for a certain amount of seasons before you can buy a team.

I think that a lot of people play in the D leages and see the buy a team button and think huh peewee that sounds easy gets a team and then next thing you know they have a team and its day 40+ they try to fill a roster it dont happen then they either sell the team back or just go inactive. peewee is like a communality and if you had to play in it for lets say 3 seasons before you could own a team you would know how to recruit and when to make/how to make good players and a team that contend.

O yeah and naked dot cheerleaders

I also hate the guys who buy PeeWee teams for the sole purpose of allowing a handful of their players to super slow build. They make sure they're not on the roster and they can give them a ton of cash. Very lame, IMO.

This sounds like a very good idea to me. If it can be explained to them that they will be an improvement. When I first started playing I didn't look for a Pee Wee team because I didn't realise that.
