Uh...did that even contribute to the thread?...
He also has 350 yards and 1 touchdown. Wow...

Catching is very overrated with Receivers. You only need about 35 catching to only drop 4-5 a season. Combine that with Sticky Hands, and you really don't have to worry about investing points into catching until much later.

I say Speed first. Agility next, then vision. After that, toss in some jumping. After all of that, I say go with Catching/Confidence.

I don't think dropped passes is the biggest problem, but having a QB and WR on the same team, I get to see deflections as the biggest issue. I think a WR with a lot of vision and a lot of agility with decent speed and decent catching is what will make the QBs comp% be better. Which in the long run makes the team better. When you get to the point where 59 speed really isn't that much of a difference between 65 speed, I'd rather see points in agility and vision. Catching for my level 22 WR seems substantial at around 44 right now, but as I increased agility and vision the deflections went down tremendously. Speed is great if WRs just ran straight up and down the field, however there are these things called routes that WRs are supposed to run and nothing causes better separation than agility, and vision helps catching more than you would think. Just my honest opinion. Take it for what it is worth.

I have 46 catching and 4 drops already...

"Catching" the ball isn't really about the "catching" attribute at all, IMO.

They should have really called it something else, like "hands."

Catching the ball deals with

1) speed; you need to get down the field fast enough
2) Agility: you need to get yourself open and into a position to catch the ball
3) Vision: You need to SEE the ball coming at you in order to catch it

4) THEN the catching attribute comes into play. Again that's just your "hands". If you're not open or if you're in an awkward spot then yeah, you're not going to catch the ball or you're gonna drop it or something.

So if you're dropping balls, I'd look at my agility and vision levels first. If they look fine, then I would pump a little into catching, but not overboard.

Speed has nothing to do with catching.

Agility/Vision gets you open more than speed later in the game.

There's my WR. I have 20 str, yet I've never gotten a pancake, nor have I ever broken a tackle.

I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure I've only dropped 2 or 3 passes my whole career.

you have 14 career drops

although you have as many receptions this year already as you had the last 2 seasons and you're only sporting 1 drop so you're doing better this year im assuming the team you were on last season had a shitty QB

speed does have something to do with getting open. If you had 20 speed and 30 agility, then you still wouldn't be able to get any separation from your DB.

Damn, guess I'm not as good as I thought I was! Where'd you find that info at? Or did you just go through all my games and count?

Nevermind I realized where you found it. I think my first season was with a D-league team. Didn't get that many throws my second season, so those drops are bad. But I never realized that I had 130+ total YAC in 5 games for this season. That's not too bad!

full season stats tab for anyone else who is wondering

mark improvement for this season - either (a) your QB is now better; or (b) now that you're playing with other people at your level, you dont have CBs that are 5+ levels higher than you defending you

The ratio that I use for Agility/Vision/Speed/Catching is this. (I don't have super yards to throw at you, but I have 8 touchdowns. One guy on my team gets the yards, I get the redzone passes).

Speed 65
Agility 40
Vision 30
Catching 38
Carrying 34
