One I've actually seen used this season by some college teams, and that's the kick from the side.

The other is when the guy actually lets the ball bounce on the ground and then kicks it on the rebound. This one I have not seen in recent years.

And to the person who asked for GLB punters to be able to angle it to the sides, they can. You just can't tell them when to do it.

people actually drop kick in the nfl??? wow... some of our NRL and union guys can drop kick 50+metres...no idea of the conversion for that one.... but punting and torpedoing normally go further than that

ya ive given up on punting too. in our last game we held the other team to 14 points on offense but they had 3 pr tds so we lost. now ive just got my ai set so that we go for it on 4th down no matter what. its pointless to punt when you only average 20 yards-return and risk a td every time. and who knows you might actually convert on 4th down

We give up points here or there by allowing teams to take over like on our 10 yard line but if you can hold them most of the game your giving yourself a better chance at winning IMO. We learned our lesson the hard way.

I may consider giving up punting as a PR for LSM set up their game winning TD.
