what we need is more of fool's interview threads.

more ratings threads.

more GOTW threads etc...

What we need is less retarded flame wars hijacking these type of threads when they are posted. This forum isn't suffering from a lack of threads or posts, it's suffering from a lack of quality threads and posts.

It's suffering because when someone takes the time and effort to make a quality thread, the next three pages after the OP are littered with back-and-forth name-calling that has nothing to do with the original post and always feature the same handful of dumbass attention whores who add nothing to any conversation.

That's why most of the old-time regulars don't bother to post here or even read these threads anymore, and the entire forum suffers because of that.

Nobody is trying to censor anyone or throw people out of the forum. All we're saying is that this forum would be 100 times more readable if people would keep the trash-talking and name-calling posts to their own threads and quit hijacking the quality threads.

I dont buy the argument that the 'old timers' arent posting here because of the smacktardation.

the 'old timers' arent posting cuz they are either a) posting on the WL forums or b) not posting anywhere anymore.

there was just as much smack between the old timers.

now we just need less of the tardation.

the newbs to the league need to step up and learn how to post w/o being giant tards.

this isnt the CPL forums people.

youre better than that .

I think your both right tbh. Some have brought players back here and are no where to be found. Some have moved on to WL. And some are also busy with other things atm and don't have time to post anywhere.

Either way, I completely agree with the following

Not for nothing but why do we need or care if the "old timers" are posting here. I am not saying they are not good guys or anything else like that but just because the have been around a while doesn't mean they are cool and don't resort to name calling.

The real difference is the world league in that this used to be the top of the rung. Now most of the people have the goal to make the WL and leave this behind.

See the real problem is this used to be the end of the line and the top notch GM's used to stick around. The Board turned less into a flame war and more into a community as people planted long term roots and become friends. You typically don't shit where you live so you saw less tardation and a core group that could control the board by being part of the "in" crowd.

Much of this used to exist when only one team was promoted at a time. I know for me in the SEA AA#4 when I started and this was true we had a lot of early tard fights but eventually came to respect and like the other owners and the tarding backed off. Many of us are still in touch and gm or have players on each other's teams. The new promotion system screwed that in the lower leagues and the emergence of the WL is doing that to this board. The more turnover this league sees the worse the board will get for those that want a tard free board.
