Bort has to make the game fun for me before I will ever be into the game, and I don't expect that to happen in the immediate future. That has absolutely zero chance of happening as long as we have ridiculous 55 man rosters, and that's only the tip of the iceberg of reasons why I find it to be very boring. He needs to weed out or fix some of the crap and inject some good ol' fashioned appeal.

tbh it's not much different than seasons 1-7. I think it's romanticizing the early seasons a bit much. Also, it's more difficult from an AI , player builds, tactics, VAs, and avoiding/taking advantage of bugs standpoint than it used to be which has weeded out a lot of the strategy poseurs from the strategy experts imo

You lost me. Before we were talking about players and I said there was more to players than just the builds. You asked like what, and I said one of the things was sometimes they help with that stuff. That doesn't even relate to me specifically but in general for one of the values of a player beyond his build.

If you could further explain this:

then you've also got height, weight, some that help out with recruiting or game-planning.

then it would clear some things up

Like every other new addition we have seen to the game, if it is conceived and executed well it could enhance the game, if not, then it will detract from improving the game.

Those things listed there are all things that some players bring to the table. So if you have two choices, say a QB level 60, and a QB level 61, and they have say identical builds, but one guy has 1 extra point in Agility, who do you take? Now let's also say that the guy with 1 pt less in Agility says he will help with recruiting and gameplanning, and he also is 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier, would you rather have the 1 extra point of Agility, or the bonus of his height and weight that might factor in along with his recruiting and gameplanning help that you might have placed a value on?

I don't think height matters that much, especially for a guy like Blake who is the best built QB in the entire GLB world.

If you are not trying to win, why bother?

Recruiting players that help you

When the question was asked, it was asked in general terms. I'm speaking for players in general as it could apply to any team.

But besides that, I didn't do any recruiting this year myself, somebody else did that.

you tried to recruit me

I also tried to extend DD, when I said "any" i didn't mean in the literal sense to imply that I didn't push one button on my keyboard that would constitute a technical recruiting effort. But for all intents and purposes, my efforts to recruit this year might not even be a full 1% of what our team invested in efforts. It's virtually zero effort from myself.
