Said "middle man" would have to be willing to trade a player of Mike's level to me for a lower level player or players (and probably cash) so that I could trade that higher level player to the Bucks for Mike.

Few people are in the habit of trading a 8 for two 4s and cash that I know of. You've also got the problem of putting together a huge package deal to get Mike would probably cost too much personnel-wise and we wouldn't be able to take advantage of Mike's skills with that lost talent. If he had simply become a free agent, or the threat of free agency was still looming, either we could have simply outbid everyone else financially or his trade value would have been quite a bit less (since there was no guarantee he would resign with the team). Now with that extension, however, his value has risen back up to put him out of our reach.

Michael is at the highset level of football(USA PRO). He is on a team that is going to keep working to get better and by this time next season we are going to be in the Playoff's and Michael is going to be rewriting the record books for us.

I don't blame you at all - I fully understand where you're coming from. As you said, you traded a great talent away to acquire another great talent in Mike - so you're going to do everything in your power to keep your investment. You're putting together a good team; and you are in the most competitive league in the game so there's plenty of reasons to want to play for you. From what I've read from various posts by your players across these forums (as well as our few PMs that were exchanged), you seem like a good owner that takes care of his players. I have nothing but praise for you and your organization.

The intention of my previous posts was to simply get a response from Mike regarding his current plans as well as express my own. With his new contract, he won't hit free agency, so if he's going to play for anyone but your Bucks then they'll have to trade for him... and we've already established my team doesn't really have that ability (again, no hard feelings there - it's simply the truth that we can't give you equal value for Mike at this time). Therefore, I've got to move on and try to fix my team's offensive problems without Mike's help. I simply wanted to make sure Mike was aware of that and that even though we'd still love to have him join Emerald City, we've got to move forward assuming he won't be part of our organization for at least another season, if not longer...

Thorrig why are you pushing so hard for our guy. there are a lot of Lev 8 WR's to be had. Hell there was a man selling one tonight for 200K.

Michael is a special talent and you yourself are a class owner. I wish you luck. We wanted Michael because he is a Star on these Forums and we are builing a great team but it was a team without a Star.

When I told my HB that I was trading him he was upset but like I told him one day you can tell your son you were traded for a Star. The Great Michael ERWIN.

Just to clear something up, I've been trying to add Michael to my team since before he was a Buck for the same reasoning you posted above - he's a "name/star" on these forums who would instantly heighten the profile on your team as well as an excellent WR with a skill set I desire (a receiver with more than just speed - a well-rounded wideout).

I think if put in the right situation and given an opportunity, Mike can become one of the game's elite WRs both in terms of skills and statistical output (he's already got the skills). I'd simply always hoped he would achieve this status while playing for Emerald City...
