Not really Reggie TBH...Bad Sim by Bort who just will not fix it even though he acknowledges it is an issue. I hate it as it really changes a game...2 Olineman on 1 DE with no one else to block and he lines up right in between them...in any level of football not only would that DE not get 7 sacks, he would get crushed by the LT/LG double team!

But, It is what it is and we have to live with it...we decided as a team in the forums not to use it which will cost us games like this all season...not as bad as the ISLAM season(by far the worst season in GLB history) but it is changing games and playbooks significantly IMHO.

GSG had the best D I've ever seen, but they no longer exist...neither do the Outlaws. Zoners are in rebuild mode and I have no idea about Yazoo or Windsor.

Eh, it's way more Reggie than you think it is. Granted, the blocking code there is kind of weak, but if it was just that, every RDE would be getting sacks and that's simply not happening. The other two RDE's on the Wolfpack depth chart had 1 sack using the same exact defenses. Just watch them (the backups) when they come in the game and you'll see it's more the dot than it is the blocking code.

And I hate to say this because it's so cliche but it might be a build/AI scheme thing. Nashville and Laredo had no problem shutting Reggie down.

Not questioning that it takes a specific kind of build to really take advantage of a bit of bad coding. Questioning that the coding should be there that a specific build is able to take advantage of.

Not trying to deminish this game. Within the confines of the sim, you beat us. We knew what was coming and we couldn't stop it.

Ah yes, after their heroic expose of the "Ketchikan is using the DPC to blitz their ROLB" scandal that almost toppled Bort from his throne, the noble Mighthawks have discovered an even more shocking exploit I will refer to as "Mediocre-Run-Blocking-Offensive-Linemen-Set-To-Balanced-Occasionally-Allowing-One-Of-The-Best-DEs-In-GLB-Past-Themgate." I'm interested to see how the cheating Wolfpack try to rationalize this disgusting exploit of the sim away.

GSG did have a great D. We eventualy caught up to them in AAA and managed to pass them by before they called it quits. Really is a shame because even in their last season they had a very good team.

well, ignoring Track who just likes to troll around, I enjoy the conversation concerning the Sim Hazy!
This exploit is well documented in the Bugs forum...It may take a a "specific build" DE, BUT, it also took a "specific build" HB to totally exploit the ISLAM season didnt it?
Not much different really and Bort has definitely acknowledged that it is bad coding and he even thought he had made the needed adjustments in the off season.

The question still remains the same to me....If there are 2 Olineman directly in front of a single DE and they have NOTHING else to do but double team that 1 single DE, how does he slingshot right thru them for sack after sack? For me its bad coding just like the Islam was bad coding, just like when elusive backs were running wild on outside runs needed better coding, just like when Etc, Etc

basically, this season is winding down to one thing like the Islam season did, you use the badly coded blitz packages...get 7-13 sacks a game and win. Just being honest, again, it is only a dot sim and nothing to be taken to seriously. I enjoy the conversations concerning the sim (good and bad) as much as I do the actual outcome of the games.

Some of the best conversations I have ever had in the GLB have been discussing the Sim with other owners thru private PMs, including some of the conversations you and I have had dating back to season 2 Hazy! I would hate to ruin his reputation but MERC and I have also had some very good conversations thru PM over the seasons
