honestly, that link should be stickied on the d line forum

i had a DE with 8 in blitz, tried swapping the blitz gear out for regular equipment in scrimmages and couldn't really tell a difference in speed. though that was before using the speed script so i was just eyeballing it, which is a terrible measurement.

imo you're better off with 1 piece of shed block and 1 piece of TV or 2 pieces of break block%

Top speed on a Pass Rush - 25.00
Top speed on a Run - 25.00


105 AGL, 85 SPD, 8 Blitz....no Pass Rush VA to muck things up.

The top pass rush speed was one where I swung all the way around the OT.
The top speed on a run was on a 6 or 7 yard run to his opposite side.

I have another DT with about 110 AGL, 80 SPD, 0 Blitz, and he tends to top off at a little over 25.

Hm, I think it would be interesting if someone did a full study on it. It's really hard with DTs to get that kind of information since we're bouncing off blocks so much but that really sounds like Blitz isn't working as intended.
