Looks to have a giddy-up in his step IMO

If First Step kicks in, it must be at tick 11, when he gets the handoff, and not from a dead stop.

I guess we can assume maximum speed at tick 19 must be just before the power through of Dr. Cox. Doesn't seem like he slows down enough for FS to kick in again, though. Still, if First Step can fire when you're moving at 20, like at tick 11, that would make it worth it.

I'm going to guess that FS never fired in this play and that was just you're agility unchained after the handoff, but I'm not sure how to demonstrate this one way or the other. A Bort quote on the mechanics of FS would be handy. We know the HB is shackled to the QB until he hits the handoff point.

Err...I was looking at Magic Benton's replay from the pro, not the one in the quote. 5.4 acceleration doesn't seem like First Step. The 7.91 on Deion's pitch may be, and he definitely gets a second spike after putting Willie Wood down. It could just be plain high agility, though, especially since he doesn't come anywhere close to stopping at Woods missed tackle (probably 20+ speed).

In think a pback with quick cut a better thing, turn that freight train, fast.

I just rolled a First Step AEQ and stumbled across this thread. I think its safe to assume that if First Step is this difficult to know if it is even firing, its probably not worth it.
