Your question is silly. You're asking "once a character is perfect, what's the point in vision?". My response: "Once your character is perfect, you can ask that question. Until then, it's a silly question."
To break that down into even simpler terms, you're saying that vision is pointless because your character is doing things "well enough". You're equating acceptable ("well enough") with perfect (cannot be improved).
Vision improves your player's ability to get thrown the ball, to catch the ball, and to run with the ball after it's caught. Until your WR catches every single pass for a touchdown, vision will help you to some degree. It may well be that other stats will be more efficient at achieving the goal you've set, but vision still has a point.
I had this thread confused with a different one. My fault.
As for the bolded comment... if spending points elsewhere causes more improvement in the SAME AREAS (and it does) that does in fact make adding vision pretty pointless ultimately. I mean.. in the SMALL picture you're right. I"m more of a big picture guy though. .
Your point about the perfect WR is only valid if building a perfect WR was an attainable goal. It's not. You have to make choices and adding tons of vision is a bad one IMO.

Fine, you play your WR with 10 vision then. No skin off my nose. Originally posted by Your point about the perfect WR is only valid if building a perfect WR was an attainable goal. It's not. No one is saying vision is worthless, I would highly recommend not playing with 10 vision. Vision will help your catching %s, but I think the diminishing returns you speak of really happen past 48. I'm not sure vision helps with YAC as much as carrying does. The low vision guys seem to recognize holes well, they just don't have the carrying to elude or break the diving tackles. Vision- good for vertical speedsters Carrying- good for guys who catch short passes and have to elude tacklers, they will want spin or other elusive Speedster SAs.

i'll say this. My juke and head fake SAs seem to be firing way more often all of a sudden and the only discernible reason i can figure out for it is increased vision past the 48 cap. Everything he does just seems to be crisper, too.

So, for all you "Vision is useless for WRs!" crowd, do you re-think your position now that it's confirmed that vision raises the success rate of Head Fake and Juke? (see: vision tooltip on your level up page for a WR)

Bort needs to bump up reading comprehension in this game. There isn't a "vision is useless" crowd, there is a "vision is useless for possession WRs" crowd. Possession WRs do not have HF or Juke in their trees, therefore a buff to activate a fake they don't have is worthless. Understand now?
BTW, keep checking for changes and maybe someday you'll be able to win your petulant little arguement.
