i got an idea...it is a simulation game, so yeah some things MAY BE luck...

BUT if you have any knowledge of football and had the scouting team we have and the coordinators, you would understand what the opposing teams strengths and weakeness are. therefore you would adjust your teams game plan along with player game plans.

but what do i now, im just an idiot on a lucky 8-8 team who beat the 1, 2, and 3 seed.

You lost in the playoffs, congratulate us on our win as we have to you on a hard fought game. Take your lumps like a man, look at your team and study the game and come to conclusions other than you got robbed because of luck and that will help you avoid losing to a team of players that are slightly lower levels. I am not trying to rub in this victory by any means because it caught me off guard. The other teams we eliminated did not complain they said great game and went back to the drawing board I suggest you do the same.

Anyways enough of this I have a championship to get ready for. I hope we put on a good show for everyone and do the East and all those rooting for us proud.

slightly lower levels? what does that mean...our team is alot better than the gobblers as far as levels go....so ye...ur team didn't win based on levels, 100% guarantee that, just had to make it clear. I've said my peace, I've said how I think this turnout sucked, and I've also said ya'll where an un-estimated team that surprised everyone. GL the rest of the playoffs and gl next year. You sure do got 1 big ego stick going on right now and u need to drop it because if we ever play you again, things will be different, I think we def. have a rivalry on our hands.

Oh and the ego continues. Give me a break, knowledge of football and the coordinators you guys have, lol. Give me a break, seriously. You've got 1 coordinator that does ur defense that you guy see as Godly because he helped your team get some wins. I'll give him his props and say he has done well, but stop with the ego. When you go undefeated in the season and win a championship, than talk crap. Going into the playoffs and winning when u have an 8-8 streak, don't call that ownage, skill, bla bla. Things clicked and that's all their is to it. Leaving it at that.

Can't wait to see you guys go against the A teams next year, GL. I'm getting bitchy now, deal with it. I'm done with this thread, and I'm leaving it at that. We'll have our shot at you again one day, we'll be ready. We underestimated you, didn't have our depth chart setup like normal (had starters running special teams and had a backup hb starting). We could have done things differently and that could have given us a win, we'll see you next time. Say that for all the other teams in the leagues btw, there's alot of other teams out there that went undefeated and got knocked out 1st and 2nd round, unlike us. It's pretty messed up if u ask me. 2 people told me today they feel my pain and don't see how it's possible for teams to get knocked out by such low seeds.

I'm whining, it's the ego and the competitive side of me coming out.

Got an ego, admitted it. Done with this damn thread, drop it. It's over, what's done is done. Your guys are standing up behind ur team which any team would do in ur situation. I'm fine with it, I'm not the only one complaining to bort about things like this. There has been a ton of big upsets these playoff games and lot of teams have been undefeated and got knocked off to a #8 team, I would have been pissed, even though drunkabeers played an amazing game.

In the nfl, is it normal for an 8-8 team to knock out a #1,#2,#3 seed team? no it would be a miracle, u guys performed a miracle, be proud, but b ready to play us next year or the year after *(depends)*, next time we see you, you'll lose. I have taken this game too hard on this game. I should not be so dramatic and I shouldn't give a flying fuck it just bothers me to a certain extent and I'm a blunt person and am going to say what I'm thinking. If I hate I lost, I hate I lost, and I'll say it.

All in all, it's a game, you guys outbeat us, today you where the better team, goodluck in the championship, and goodluck next season. I'm seriously done posting in this thread now, later. I'm going to have so many teams against me next year but w/e, it's all good. This game is fun and it's all about love for the game, learning, and wanting to improve. We'll come out next season improved and ready to have some fun, win or lose.

I think you're the one having trouble dropping it...although you keep trying to turn it around on others as if it's their responsibility to stop talking about it.

As for all the upsets...it's like Flames said, a lot of top teams are becoming too predictable overall and aren't willing to take the big risk and make a really "significant" change that will really ruin the opposing team's gameplan. We actually had you gameplanned for a bit more passing than you did (not much though), but our outside/inside run defense percentages were right on which allowed us to shut you down when you tried to run on us...and auto adjust kinda guarantees that your gameplan will be thrown out the window at some point which I don't understand using personally.

And you might as well stop trying to compare this to the NFL...cuz it's quite obviously NOT the NFL. Do 8 teams make it to the playoffs in the NFL? Nope...so what are the chances of a #7 seed doing well in the playoffs? Like someone did say earlier though, the Steelers a few years ago did beat the best 3 teams in the better of the 2 conferences in the NFL so it's not like it doesn't happen there either.

Maybe winning ONE of these games against top teams could be considered luck, or a miracle, but winning 3 in a row and only allowing 21 points in the games combined is hard to continue attributing to luck. I'm not being arrogant or cocky or anything like that, I'm just saying that at some point you have to realize that it has to be more than just luck to happen 3 times in a row the way these games happened.

i don't even understand what u whiners are saying, do u expect me to believe that the game was the same all through the regular season but when it hits the playoffs Bort started changing the game all of the sudden? that's just stupid. Nothing changed in the playoffs, the game is exactly the same as the regular season. seriously doubt they would change coding for the playoffs. I don't care how many upsets there were, the game didn't change. I had alot of respect for the Brawlers and their staff a couple days ago but that has certainly declined rapidly.

Also, don't tell people to quit talking about something u brought up. You started this whining thread, nobody else. Then when people disagree with your whining then it's "drop it" "I don't want to talk about how I'm a sore looser." This isn't everyone else's fault

Amazing game, you did earn it through these 3 huge upsets. But something isn't right and sure this happens in real life, it isn't expected, and upsets happen. But 3 major upsets in a row?

I'm just upset just as the skulls where. It sucks that we are going to be around here next season as well, when both our teams have earned it and won 16+ in a row and where #1 undefeated all season, yet we don't move up. It just doesn't seem like everything is right does it? Personally, I feel like we've been ripped off. To go this far undefeated and then go out by a #7 team...it's just not normal. #7 and a #6 in the playoffs, lol. Well, guess next year should be pretty good. Maybe we can try to talk a team into moving down.

Now I may be wrong and the Gobblers could go in the A league and whip some major ass. However, my gut tells me they will go in there and do like other teams do. Go 4-12 or something and be one of the last teams in the league. Whereas if Brawlers, Skulls, or the other few teams that had an amazing season where to go over there, they would do really well. I guess everyone eventually gets moved up in the leagues, even if it takes until we are level 25 each. I feel like the game may be based on a little too much luck. You may be saying I'm a poor sport but I'm REALLY not trying to be. I feel the same as sooner did, amazed. Just when stuff like this happens it's maybe a question that should be asked to bort. Most teams that went undefeated this season have been dropped out, but this dropout was from a team that went 8-8, a wildcard team. Not normal but I'm going to throw props their way for sure, amazing game.

I admire your attempt to call the win BS and still try and maintain good sportsmanship. The beginning and end of your post sounds like two different people. Minus 2 - lvl 18's and a 19 are your really that much more prepared for the next level than us? Could it be, over the course of the season our owners and players evolved to learned how to better manage their players energy levels and spend skill points in a more effective way? Or perhaps our management improved their scouting and game-planning? I tend to favor the various possibilities than to think it was a randomly generated luck factor.

shows us who has a life, and who doesnt. personally i dont think anyone on our team would flip out and cry 3 pages worth about losing to a 7th seed. if it were us who lost, we would sit here and think why we did finish the season losing the way we did and fix it next year.

want to put your knowledge of football agaisnt me? be my guest. playing football since i was 5 and keeping up with it ever since, coaching the running backs and linebackers of a middle school team and getting offered to coach a highschool team while im still in college...yeah idk, i guess i really dont know ANYTHING about football....haha...i like how you talk trash about others and dont know anything about us

Its the ole' cliche "Don't count yer chickens before they hatch" Basically he was already counting on playing the skulls in the championship before the first game of the playoffs.

If you dont put your ego aside long enough to realize the mistakes you made in your gameplan you wont improve.

I was a poor sport, I agree. I should have posted stating good game, etc.. I do honestly think it was a good game. I'm just a competitive person, it doesn't mean I have no life, lol. I work hard and I work hard for my money that I spend on this game. When upsets happen like this, alot of "gamblers" when betting on games like this on real sports, get pissed and go nuts. I'm spending money on here, I'm doing my best to run the team, we are doing best to run the team. If I want to complain about a game, let me. Be the "bigger" men and ignore me. I'm very competitive and I hate losing, I admit that. But, don't sit there and tell me I have no life just because I'm whining about a game that I pay money to play.

I'm really surprised the skulls coaches didn't go a little crazier, they just joined the wtf thread with the other teams that got beat to upset teams. I am sorry that I did act the way I did but I'll say it 1 more time, I'm competitive, I hate losing, and now I can improve from this and try to do well again next season. I underestimated a team that has improved dramatically and I shouldn't have.

If you where a gm, it would be different, but since you aren't setting games up, please do not post here defending the Gobblers talking crap to me. Good for you that you're going to be a coach, do you want a cookie? I played football in HS, played basketball in HS, and now I'm working full-time. I help coach a pee-wee football team for the church for fun and that's about to start back up soon enough. Soccer just ended. I also gamble on the nfl every year like a mfer just to have fun. Sure you have more football knowledge than me, maybe. Still doesn't mean anything. Compare the level of players in the depth charts and that's what it boils down to.

All in all, I'm tired of hearing it and again I shouldn't have said anything. All it's doing is making me look bad and that's not what I'm trying to do. I do apologize again and I'm sorry for saying anything bad about the Gobblers. You guys played a good game, you earned it. Best of luck to ya'll in the championship and in the next league next year. I still have learning to do like all these other coaches on this game, but that's how the game works. You win some, you lose some, and I think we can def. learn from this. It's just different losing to an 8-8 team, it just seems weird guys that's all. That's the only reason I made this post. I underestimated you guys and that's the truth. Didn't spend enough time studying and working out tactics, didn't start my hb. Not trying to make excuses, just saying underestimating can be deadly. I told my team that we would have problems against the nightmare because I thought it's who we would see in the game before the championship, if we made it. I know I wouldn't have posted this if I would have lost to a #2 seed, #3 seed, or a #4 seed. It's different losing to a #7 seed, something about it. But you guys have earned it, and you have improved to the extreme. Keep it up and goodluck.

Agreed. We did think this, to be honest. Don't underestimate and u got to leave the ego at home, lol. Don't think you've won before it's over.
