It would be pretty funny. I do think there are a couple teams in other Pro Leagues that would compete.

Same with Drygerian & Marblehead.

Those are really the only 3 I can making any real noise at winning the WL (outside of USAPL).

The playoff teams would be, the 4 USAPL teams, Santiago, Krazy, Bonn, Drygerian, Marblehead, and i honestly have no idea who else. moar USAPL needed

I just love seeing these "Best teams in GLB" threads, and there are more non-USAPL teams than USAPL teams. Yes, a few teams outside of the US would compete well, but none would dominate like they currently do.

thats a tough call to make imo...obviously if we took the teams right now currently that would be the case...but you make a WPL and the teams that might not be up to the caliber of these teams yet could very easily gain just enough talent to compete...with the countless teams disbanding in the offseason...players will ship themselves towards the WPL teams.

I guess I am for it though think some teams will get the shaft

My vote would be 'no' for season 11. I think something like this should be implemented with at least a seasons notice.

the entire thing is going to be screwy - just like most pro leagues - with retirement coming for season 1 builds... the time to do this was season 7 or 8 imo... i'd say "no"

It is not announced yet. Talk about it in the forum is not an announcement. What I am thinking about is an official announcement on the front page with EVERY detail in place.

The real question is - is the World League going to be the Elite League or just a World League.

Because if it's 4 per conference, it's not the Elite League - although the very top end will be the elite. A league without the best 32 dot teams in it is not the Elite League though. Simple as that. congratulations to the lousy teams in foreign conferences who couldn't stay within 10-14 points of 2/3 of the USAPL. Enjoy the assbeatings.

Already tried islander, they won't put their money where their mouth is. And to be quite fair you cannot use our team as an example of what your saying since I have been one of the biggest opponents to the World League. One of my biggest reasons is in the current setup there are 256 teams that get to play in a league where they might win a "Pro" trophy. Every season 8 teams get to know they finished on top of the "division" of GLB they first chose to be in. With a World League there is a whole ONE team that gets this and 32 that get the honor of playing in it. Just seems to me like it would be a lot more fun for those other 7 teams that win and 224 teams that get to play in the top leagues.

Hence, Galk has voted "no" in my poll.
