A little bit of game planning went into it, I'm closely associated with the team ...so we all new each other too well. I also made some tactical/decision errors and went with the wrong defense. But they are a very good team and even if I had game planned to the extent I did for Short Bus, if we played a best of 10 it would likely be 5 all!

I didn't think we were going to go through the season undefeated like Short Bus last season (way too hard to pull off!), so I don't mind going down to a friends team [which is a great team in its own right, and has only just come back in this season].

lol, TBH no. After losing to the Llama's I just went back to the old AI's... good to get these losses out of the way now (so we can adjust for our regular playoff games ....on the other hand you just showed everyone in our league how to beat us again! ).

Honesty no (remember me saying I kind of didn't want to beat the Short Bus in a way....). I had to spend way to much time trying to game plan [which I haven't been that much of a fan off], and the last few nights I've had about 3-4 hours sleep per, just cause I was up reworking AI's, trying to review pbp's, etc.

So I was sort of relevied when we lost to KC Llamas, cause we now we have a loss on the season and I can just load up generic old AI's [which we did against the pirates and lost]. So I'm kind of happy to dial back my efforts a bit.

I'll put a bit of effort into the Official Tournament games, as I know we'll get an ear full from Short Bus if we lose that, and concentrate on league play and the playoffs. I also have a couple of other teams I own which I do most of the work for, so I'm a bit over extended atm, and trying to 'this season's Short Bus' was never going to happen.

Reminds me of that time we beat the loldots and then proceeded to mess it up from that point onwards.

I like how you say I am not going to try as hard, but I will still have to win the official tourney.... let me know how that goes.

I'm not going to try as hard. I didn't say I wouldn't shirk off the work load to Lord Evil, and a bunch of the other GM's [who all have their own successful peewee teams]

...and for the record, concentrating on one tournament is a lot easier than focusing on the three I was in and having to worry about when our first loss was coming so we could move on from the undefeated tag. I'm still in 2 tournaments, but we don't mind if we lose the small one.

I would still like to win the 'official' tournament, but I'll be bring in help to do that!

word, i guess if you wanted to not try as hard getting people to do it for you would be a good way to go about doing that.

That's what I wish I had, I do everything. I have zero help and its very time consuming. The reality though its just hard to find good Gms who will actually scout and watch games and adjust things. I got to the point I rather just do it myself, we lose its on me, no one to blame. Ive had so many so called scouts but when they pm you an hour before gametime and tell you they have a rushing Qb, might want to try and shut that down, that's not very much help at all.

loldots still owned a team last season and renamed it to Anchorage something. His brother ran the team and they made the playoffs as a 3rd place team I think it was. Hazy told the league he was going to help through the playoffs and then they lost in the conference championship to Burnt Orange
