why would you only be concerned with covering the TE

it's called a safety for a reason

Being an SS i'm covering the TE about 90% of the time on passing plays... Though this really doesn't apply to me since my safety is 100+ plus but I could see why someone would argue that certain higher speeds could be overkill

Exactly, my SS covers the TE the majority of the time. Not too many TE's have enough speed to burn him. And when it's a 5WR set, we use 5 CBs and it's not an issue.

Well the game is always evolving. Like I said have fun in AAA with 80 speed trying to cover faster tight ends. Hell right now the level 25 tight end on my team has over 80 speed already. When these kinds of tight ends start catching up, you're going to be balls deep in shit.

Extreme speed is overrated. Mid 90's will suffice.

Was in the pros for 5 seasons, back up to AAA again.

If you play any zone, play man on a slot, or have to actually be a safety net deep, what happens when that 100+ speed reciever gets open deep and you try to chase him down? That's why you need more than 80. Geez, my level 35 OLB has 81 speed!

115+ speed/80 agility = winner

This may be a good place to ask as speed is the topic...I'm thinking about making a FS with like 120 speed and like 6 closing speed and a focus on the hard hitter tree...thoughts?

Probably overkill on the speed a little, might be better off using some of those sp's and training on strength, vision, and agility, but I've never made a FS before and I only have a level 47 SS in AA, so I can't speak for the higher levels. Any ideas, Underdog?
