yeah except denvers defense will suck complete ass and they will have to pass

Meh, Denver has some solid young guys on defense, you might be surprised.

who?

they failed to address the front 7 besides ayers who had 1 good year in college and would be better in a 4-3

6 wins at the most

Broncos defense. The 3-4 LBs are pretty solid, Davis played well with the Browns in the Middle and Haggan may end up taking the job from Bailey or Larsen might as well as Williams may slide in and Moss goes to the other 3-4 OLB if he shows off some of this massive potential.(or Ayers will start) They are good at CB, they have 2 older guys in Bailey and Goodman who both are good CBs with backups being 3 young guys with immense potential in Alphonso Smith, Jack Williams and Rashod Moulton. Dawkins is a veteran leader and hard hitter back there but he won't offer much coverage and Renaldo Hill is a cover FS who might lose his job to the more athletic and young Josh Barrett. They have a pretty solid DL. I more expect Marcus Thomas to DE, not NT(he's listed at NT) but he was the best player on the 2006 Gators DL before he got kicked off the team because of off the field problems. If they keep him in check, he can be a special player. Overall, they brought in a lot of young guys but have some guys who could end up being really good 3-4 players especially on the DL. Also remember, they aren't going to play only 3-4. They'll be playing some 4-3.

Nobody's.

All rejects from their former teams. Denver's defense sucked ass last season and they did nothing to say it will be different this season.

Denver fucked up. Point blank.

and LOL@McDaniels being good because of Cassel. Yeah, because NE coaches have so much success when they leave NE...oh' that's right. Mangina, Crennel and Weis are all having such great careers outside of NE.

Weis is a fat ass, Mangina was successful with the Jets for a little while and Crennel had a couple solid seasons with the Browns. I don't think Denver did. I think Denver got rid of a whiny, cancer(and a 5th) to get 2 first round picks, an ok starter at QB and a 3rd round. Not such a bad deal to me especially if they make a good pick next year and Orton does solid for them.(with their WRs and OL, I think he'll do pretty good, he did well with the Bears last year)

Ok Bears go to not making the playoffs to the #4 ranked team?

Also this quote about Miami is just ignorant: "The difference between this year and last might just be the schedule."

Soooooo resigning every FA we had, picking up a better center, 2 CBs on of which is a towering 6'4", another QB that's gonna help in the WIldcat, a safety from clemson that runs a 4.33 and has been surprising in what he has shown and 2 new WRs means the only thing different is the schedule? You can argue that we had an easy schedule but so did Atlanta who is ranked 11th because they got Tony Gonzalez. Also, Carolina should be a lot higher.

Am I the only one that thinks the Tony Gonzalez pickup was HUGE for ATL? I think they are Super Bowl contenders now. Tony G even at his age is a stud. Roddy White stretching the field means Tony G over the middle all day. If the Bears don't make the Super Bowl I am picking ATL.

And what about their defense?? Sure Tony Gonzalez is a big pick up but he didn't help the Chiefs get to a SB.

Actually, I do want Jay to do well....but putting that QB in Chicago - now that's a russian mail-order bride waiting to kick your 70 year old azz if I've ever seen one. If they can make it work, excellent! But it is going to be a fun watch regardless (VB approves of this thread).

There defense wasn't that bad last year. They gave up a lot of yards, but only 20.3 PPG. That was good for 11th in the NFL.

7 of their 8 draft picks were defense also. Not saying any of them were good, but ya gotta figure at least 1 will make a impact.

They signed (LB) Mike Peterson. He is a few years removed from being a stud LB, but still will be a upgrade IMO.

Like I said if some of their draft picks hit. I think the will go from a Average defense to a above average defense which will be good enough with that offense.

Dolphins have a very good RB with Ronnie Brown, a very good and rising O-Line a good player at every position on the line, a bunch of underrated WRs with good TEs. Defense the have Joey Porter who was a beast last season, Jason Taylor is back, a could-be-beast on Wake, 2 young DEs, one of which is already shown to be a good run stopper (Langford), 2 new CBs, and a set of good safeties.

Anyone could argue that their team has improved enough to do really well but I don't see Atlanta being a superbowl contender (and I don't consider the Dolphins as one either). Tony Gonzalez is a really good TE but he is only one guy.

I blame Herm Edwards for the Cheifs failures. He has no business being the head coach of any NFL team. I think he would make a decent mascot though.

Yea, but I think the Falcons didn't need to improve as much as the Dolphins did imo, but I do think the Dolphins will do just fine this year though. If Brown can stay healthy.
