Remember back when it was FUN to own a DE, and it was FUN to own a LOT so you could try and stop a good DE, and you used to spend MONEY to try and build your DE to get even more sacks, and you used to spend MONEY to try and make your LOT better built to stop that DE from killing your QB, and you used to game plan on how to deal with that DE, and you used to game plan on how to deal with what the offense was going to do to try and negate your DE?

Glad they got rid of that aspect of the game.....

For one thing, I'm almost positive that Tunnel Vision doesn't work at all. I have 9 levels in TV on my DE too, and it is completely useless. I was even running 12 with AEQ, but that didn't do anything either.

Now I'm running 14 First Step, with very similar Speed/Agility/Vision as you do, but still can't blow by OTs, no matter how slow they are.

I think TV took a HUGE hit 3-4 seasons ago. It's pretty damn worthless now. The purpose of TV was to help DEs turn pressures into sacks, but DEs are still pausing for too many ticks on every friggin pass play, while QBs continue to have eyes behind their head

Dude, this post is exactly what I have been saying. Bort fucked over 2 positions, not just 1. I couldn't careless about my OTs anymore. I used to love bragging about how they'd shutdown GLB's best DEs. Now there's nothing worth bragging about and in my eyes, they are only worth having as players for friends of mine to use. I don't give a shit about them anymore.

Maybe so, but I wold think Bort wold like it better for people to get ENTERTAINED by owning and SPENDING MONEY on their DE, as opposed to watching another game of NOTHING. Can you say BORING?

Yeah, i used to be pretty happy with how i built my OT because he was able to shut down studly pass rushers, but now i regret building him how i did because he's too weak to help much in the run game (71 str), and all that blocking and agility is pretty useless when he could have gotten by with 60 agi and 60 blocking.

I used to love bragging about how they'd shutdown GLB's best DEs. Now there's nothing worth bragging about and in my eyes, they are only worth having as players for friends of mine to use. I don't give a shit about them anymore.

No, kidding!!! My LOT was one of my favorite players. There was a season in which he got OWNED by a DE, I busted my butt for the next 2 seasons to fix him. The season he really got good...and then Bort put the death sentence on DE's. Suddenly my LOT was just as good as every other LOT. Now my LOT is just waiting to be retired for flex. I'm not sure he ever gives up a sack...maybe once in a while, but I don't really even pay attention to him any more...BORING.

Define working correctly then.

Working Correctly for DE means that the interaction is performing how it should. It's not. It also means that a level 52 DE should be able to cream a CPU OT or a level 1 OT. Neither of those are true.

Yep. I remember Seasons 5 and 6. I was so proud of my OT for shutting down DEs who had 30+ sacks then wham, Bort makes it easy as hell. He might have given up a sack since then, I honestly haven't cared to look.

Haha. Remember in season 1 (or maybe 2) when mods said to work on blocking for dlineman because "blocking attribute increases their knowledge of blocking and helps them break more". Either bort or some other mod said that a year ago. Funny stuff
