I've had higher vision hurt my SSs play, especially on STs but not exclusively. I mainly noticed it in season 6, but even now it can lead to a debilitating level of indecision. Vision whores can get angry, but it doesn't matter what you see if you're too slow to do anything about it, it should be fairly low on the priority list.

Like I said, raising vision actually hurt my SS's performance, it made him indecisive to the point that he wouldn't commit to a play, mainly ended up 5 feet behind who ever made the tackle, he shuffling his feet good though.
Spd should be #1, obviously, but I would say that str or tkl should be #2 over vision, depending on you're own judgment of their worth. Why agility isn't a major is beyond me, but it isn't, so if you have a patient owner I would wait on it as well..
I don't think Vision needs to be taken higher than the 60 cap. But I have definitely noticed the difference between having it at 48 and then now having it a 60. My SS takes better paths to the ball carrier and plays much better in coverage. I do have 15 VA into football genius that have taken vis to 65ish. Won't ever put any more SP into it, but would say its made enough of a difference to warrant it for a balanced SS.

Higher Vision made a huge difference in my player. I have vision and agility over 70 and have seen huge improvements. I got 10 INT's in the regular season and 2 in the playoffs to go along with almost 50 PD's. hasn't taken away from anything else from my perspective either.

of course. My situation is I play both Run support and Coverage. Since I play cover 2 a lot higher vision really helps read and react to a play. Also, the addition of ball hawk really helped as well basically just boosting those numbers way up.
Everyone's situation is different based on your own team and the competition your playing against. One build might work in one league and not work as well in another...
Safties main job is tackling, for that you need, strength, and, speed, vision, these are the 3 that force fumbles. 70 vision woulb be max, 60 plus tackling if possilbe and 60 strength. Then agi/confidence/jumping

For a safety, Agility>>>>>>>>Strength/tackling/jumping/confidence/vision.
Not getting to the guy to make the tackle is a much bigger problem for most safeties than making the tackle once you get there.
I believe if you want a solid SS,you have to build agilty, speed, tackling, vision, stregth and confidence. After all all a real SS is a smaller faster LB.If your team plays a cover than you might want to have a build similar to a FS.

This is a sim problem, IMO. As a higher attribute should never make a player worse.
