I'm pretty sure I'm starting with Great Blocker (since that stayed +.5) But after that???? (level 54 so max of 15 per VA)
Candidates:
Workout Warrior - sure it got nerfed to .3%, but that still adds +3 onto a player with 68 in strength.
Outside Blocker - since a blocking TE really only blocks on running plays, the only works on pitches, but that's still 2% more on speed, agility, vision, blocking when that occurs.
Showboat Blocker - not sure how many pancakes your blocking TEs have been getting. Mine averaged 4.5/game (not counting 255-0 games) 5% added to the moral loss would be .75 more on the loss (pretty close to twice the moral loss of a normal pancake)
Big Heart - How many times could you trail by 14 in a game? Down by 14 would trigger 2% to all attributes until you are 3 or closer. That's just under 1/3 if maxed out to 15
Any other thoughts on Blocking TE VAs?
I wouldn't bother with Great Blocker or Workout Warrior. I had previously been thinking about going with Showboat Blocker, but I'm not so sure the morale system works well enough for it to have a big enough impact. Big Heart... pass.
What I'm focusing on is Outside Blocker and Redzone Freak. Probably Downfield Blocker once I've gotten those maxed. Goalline Blocker, maybe. It just seems kind of a waste since it only works in 5% of the field.
My question about Downfield Blocker is whether the poor schmuck has to be standing 3 yards downfield when engaged or if it fires after you push him from the LOS downfield 3 yards. Anyone? eta, the Outside Blocker description isn't clear either, it says "pitches and screens" but also says "outside running plays" or something like that. It's not so bueno if it only works on pitches and you eliminate screen plays from your playbook.
