CBs is difficult to judge, if you watch have time to watch replays, the good corners dont even get thrown to majority of the time... you can look at stats, but that stuff doesnt matter half the time

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=34218

my cb has played in 12 games, he has only 21 tackles and 7 pd, for the tackles i can say half those were catches made on my cb, other half where runs or balls thrown to other receivers but the cb still made the tackles.

Clearly CBs in Alpha dont know how to cover.

I won't propose that I know more than Randy does...but he says giving up 10 catches to one guy is horrible. It's not great, but how about giving up 14 to two guys? Is that any better?
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=13136

Or how about 14 to two guys and 6 to a third?
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=13103

Plus as I was gathering that data I also noticed that Prague puts up big numbers of catches from receivers just about every week. Does that mean CBs in Zeta don't know how to defend, or that Prague is a damn good team...much like Washington is a damn good team?

Maybe its better to give up lots of catches to multiple guys but not just one guy...

agreed...good corners can have low stats...that means the other team just goes the other way...

Food for thought for Randy...

Prague's defense gives up about 135 yds a game and has allowed 4 opposing passing TDs with 131 PD and 21 INTs

compared to

Kazan's defense which gives up about 160 yds a game and has allowed 5 opposing passing TDs with 131 PD and 21 INTs (2 returned for TDs)

Obviously his CBs are better

Anyway, I can't believe any team could possibly give up over 10 catches to any WR in any single game. It's just not possible unless the team sucks...

(looks around nervously hoping no one notices CT's last game)

This is why we should not do this with games left in season...Tricky Richard has "fallen" to seventh in rushing yards. Big Dawg has 650 more yards rushing and Cary has almost 1000 more yards then most on the list.

Current Stats:

Cary Stayner 2208yds 37TDs, 5.5avg
Big Dawg 1967yds 21TDs, 5.4avg
Bobby Winland 1367yds 13TDs, 3.9avg
Quinton Cabrera 1307yds 15TDs, 4.4avg
Jesse Jones 1296yds 15TDs,4.7avg
Jet Johnson 1290yds 9TDs,3.9avg
Tricky Richard 1285yds 28TDs, 4.5avg
Javorskie Vice 1258yds 29TDs, 4.6avg

Still one game to go....

Could you tell me your punter equations? cuz if u used avg p yards u might wanna rethink your choices. That stat is very skewed.

just wondering

The final Alpha Conference All-Pro team should be ready by tomorrow night or, more likely, the following night. If anyone wants to make a case for a player to be selected, either post for discussion or just PM me. I might not get back to you, but I'll definitely read them all. It'll be the same format as the mid-season All-Pros, maybe with fewer stats displayed... but know that the stats displayed are not necessarily the sole stats/attributes on which the player is chosen.

I have to agree. My CB Woodson never gets thrown to. So his stats are not as good as some of the others or what they could have been. oh well no worries!

Our top CB never got thrown to until the end of the season when he got 3 ints in one game against Grodno, otherwise Speedy Dude (#2 CB most of the time) got the tackles and Jason Swift (#3 most of the time) got the INTs

Yeah, I agree with that. See my second HAre got all the tackles. he si second on the team in tackles. mt #1 CB Woodson, was out on the field. but got like 3 tackels a game and got picks when they threw to his side more then 7 times. But anyways no reason the cry over spilt milk.
