I think personally that most if not all the AAA1/2 play off teams would fair decent in USA Pro. Alot of resillent teams that just continue to defy logic and where they should go down. In AAA2 the royals took the pounds to the limit. Any one could of won that game.

I agree with you somewhat Veg....Was just in awe of the Nats comments.

I'm not sure who you are referring to, but to me the only ones who deserve it are the conference champs. A promotion without a trophy just isn't the same. I understand spots need to be filled and it's better for the competition of the league, but there are more and more teams getting promoted that have never won a thing.

do you really disagree with teams that go 16-0 regular season but lose 1st or 2nd round in the play offs? I mean look at the wolfpack. They are great team and deserving to be in USA Pro and they proved it.

They are a great team and they have the right to be in Pro, but that doesn't mean they deserve it. If you deserve to be promoted after a 16-0 regular season, why bother with the playoffs?

Not saying the automatically deserve it but... if other teams fold and they are there.. why not? Good teams are good teams regardless.

Veg I'm trying to figure out who exactly you're arguing for? Did the wolfpack deserve their moveup when a slot opened up? Yes. But if a slot hadn't opened up would they have the right to complain about it? I still say no. The only guaranteed moveup comes from winning your conference - if you did not do that, you shouldn't be bitching. This time 3 seasons ago you'd be shit out of luck with no hope to move up at all, even to replace gutted teams.

Of the 8 Eastern playoff teams, it looks to me like 7 of them are big favorites to get playoff spots. It would not surprise me if one or both of the AAA Conference Champs miss the playoffs.

I am not that familiar with a couple of the Western playoff teams, but they look very good also.

Next season should be the best in US Pro yet, and we will go from 1 or 2 good teams not making the playoffs, to 4-5. The battle for that last playoff spot is going to be tough, and the interconference game could play a huge role.

We lost in back to back conference championships and ended up waiting 4 seasons in AAA to move up to Pro, watching Boston Nighthawks, DDL, Maulers and Shockers move up (that is a scary list of teams). Go figure that the year we finally won the conference, Bort decides to start moving up multiple teams.

That was the best thing evah!

tbh, I don't think we were ready season 7, I would have preferred one more season in AAA, but as I said back then I wasn't going to turn the promotion down - it's too damn hard to get up here.

my arguement is a spot opened up and the wolfpack a great team got in. I feel the champs and such deserve it. If and when extra slots open sure give them the chance. Like wolfpack got. Fill the league with the best teams they can get. Competetition is what it is a about. I wouldnt bitch because i went 16-0 and lost and stuck in AAA. If the chance arises where you can luck into a spot so be it. All the AAA teams are good teams maybe not USA pro champ but great contenders. I hope this trend continues.

We aren't far from 1-2 good teams competing to avoid relegation, to be honest.

Yeah, but nobody is disagreeing there - all of us would rather see somebody promote to replace a team if a slot opens up because of a gutting.

Well, lets see. If you look at the current USA Pro West, the argument can be made that the vaqueros are probably the weakest team left after promotion / relegation. After that the next several teams are all quite good.

I read here Dallas was gutting? Didn't hear it from them though.
That leaves Parma (AAA Season 6 Champ), Freebirds (#5 seed last season I think) and Compton (Season 6 Conference Winner) as the worst teams left from Season 8...with two teams being relegated.

In the East I feel that Philly and Zoo will have a hard time avoiding relegation.

Wrong dallas Duff - the team that's selling is the Dallas Longhorns who are promoting. They had made that decision awhile ago apparently.

I guess making the PO's in pro can be considered decent. Though, the teams that came up from AAA last season besides the Wolfpack had it kind of tough. Out of the 9 teams that were promoted 6 made the play-off's. 5 of these 6 teams were booted in the first round. These are all good teams but it really does get alot tougher at this level.
