update! I am going to go straight to 68spd then 68 agility to give me more time to train agility, strength and vision. I then want to then 1stcap strength and then 1stcap vision. I think I will have to intense train agility/vision until agility is around 28 then intense train strength/tackling.

BTW, this thread may be useful for others starting hardhitting SS's so BUMP for you!

I'm sure it could be balanced. Definitely not coverage only guys though.

Should be interesting. I haven't decided to push spd/agi to 68 asap or stop at 61 yet with my new SS.

I'm certain I'm going to push to 68/68 with my FS though.

He is pretty balanced with a lean towards run stuffing.

what about this order, which I may do with my SS? http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1397397. I plan on making him a high speed, hard hitter. Unfortunately he will have lower than normal agility for awhile.

1. speed/tackling 2nd capping speed/1st capping tackling
2. Strength/Jumping 2nd capping strength/ 1st capping jumping
3. Agility/Vision 2nd capping agility/ 1st capping vision

Ok guys I have a little dilemma. So at level 7 I just capped speed at 60.4 If only I had 2 more SPs I could take it to 61.4! But once it hits 60.8 I will no longer have that chance

So do I waste 8 Bonus tokens in storage to give me 2 SPs and take speed to 61.4? The way I see it that 8 Bonus tokens could be used on EQ to give me +1 spd and .5 of an SA. Instead I am getting +1 speed and like +3 SPs because I will be spending less to take speed to the 68 cap.

Is it worth it?

You got the right idea, but the wrong numbers:

1. speed/tackling 3rd capping speed/1st capping tackling
2. Strength/Jumping 3rd capping strength/ (later on taking care of) jumping
3. Agility/Vision 3rd capping agility/ 2nd capping vision

2nd cap is only good enough for sucking. Get all his major attributes (speed, agility, strength in your case) to the 3rd cap and have supporting minors at 2nd cap (tackling and vision in your case).

Skip jumping to get his major attributes higher up at first; you can raise jumping slightly by training intense jumping+tackling - tackling can be trained up from 49 to 55 this way - to eventually beeing 2nd capped. If you don't take vision to at least 2nd cap, you'd better blitz the guy almost all the time (like UnderDogs plays his guy). Maybe do the same "trick" as for tackling: first cap vision, then train intense vision+confidence to raise it to 55 and finally 2nd cap it.

At lv. 7, you'll get more than enough BTs along his career to STILL maintain 2 advanced pieces.

So worth it i.m.h.o. - just don't let that happen again. Due to post- and pre-season, you'll be making up about 4 - 6 bonus tokens each season (16 because of regular season, 4-6 because of post- und pre-season).

absolutely worth it. next time try to time your levels. one way to do it is bank some sp's. say your at 58.4. well you know it will take 2 levels to get it under. So wait 2 levels till it's 59.20 then you will have 10 sp's and you can sink 6 to bring it to 61.20, and you're back on track.

That's just being in cover 2 it's a zone defense. You cover your zone, which is your half of the field. the wide receiver came over into your half.it's naturally coded this way. Your vision didn't help you make that play anymore than the code written to make that particular play did. vision doesn't help you do that as much as you think. Since my guy does that every game with probably 20 points less vision than yours.

did it. Never really understood the "watching your levels" thing up until now. Good explanation.

Good decision . . . IMO if you're that close and low-leveled it's always best to go for it.
